More than 40 countries have expressed their interest in joining BRICS, with this number steadily increasing over time, according to an interview by Grigory Karasin, a senior Russian politician on April 16th, 2024. Karasin emphasized the attractiveness of BRICS' flexible cooperation model, citing the ongoing rise in potential member nations as evidence.
Following the recent addition of new members-Saudi Arabia, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Ethiopia-the total GDP (PPP) of the BRICS bloc is approximately $58.5 trillion USD. This enhanced economic size underscores the bloc's growing influence in global economic affairs.
The expanded BRICS now aims to be a more inclusive representation of the Global South and is positioning itself to have greater influence in global economic and political affairs.

Well it's time for the BRICS- New World Order to come up with a default reserve currency or simply go back to gold as the reserve. It will be too chaotic for each country to trade in their respective currencies with the daily change in exchange rates.

Anybody that thinks anything is untouchable never comprehended history properly. It will take a tumble now how bad of a tumble will depend on what the leaders in the U.S. decide to do. I am concerned with what I am seeing already. We will definitely watch how this all plays out. Right now, Brics has a common goal, but once that happens, two giants don't get along for long. I remember listening to an economist long ago, and he stated the big three will rise, which are China, India, and Africa. To me, China is playing the long game and ensuring many countries are in debt to them. They are buying up everything they can around the world, plus working on their generational poverty citizens to ensure they do not stay in poverty any longer. That is me looking at things from a business lense and understanding structure and strategy. Now for me personally I'm more interested in countries that citizens collectively care about each other(not a mindset of taking each other out), real food without the fake ingredients, less violence, decent cost of living, healthcare that is cost efficient or universal Healthcare etc. The U.S. doesnt have any of the basics I mentioned, but Im not sold heavily on where im moving as of yet. I am making some serious movement this year, though. I can do business from anywhere if I decide to stay in that lane. I may become more of a nomad and garden person and business on occasion. Ill say this the only constant is change. Empathy goes out to all the U S. citizens that are unaware of what is going on. You said it right the U.s. only shows the bad in other places and that is to keep a certain branding, gas lighting, and training subconscious mindset. This is why many be so shocked when they leave and realize many countries don't even dare allow half the things U.S. allow to occur to its citizens. No country is perfect and all have problems but it is some structural basics I'm expecting now that I understand the world more.

Today, African states are joining alliances to get out of your Western hypocrisy and wickedness. NATO attacked Iraq and Libya. I say as long as they have the world reserve currency they can print it to infinity and the demand will remain. I think the devaluation of the dollar is used to expand the economy. For example houses get more expensive and so does everything else. At the same time exchange rates are not adjusted so they get double enriched as they can buy more with inflated value money.

I’m glad you’re covering this topic - you’re the first person who I’ve learned about this from. I’m African American and I think that BRICS is a good thing. I don’t think the goal is to necessarily crush the dollar, but rather create a more just world, and balance the global powers. I’m glad all of these countries, many of them unable to really leverage their resources are coming together to do so and I think this is going to help a lot of places that aren’t doing well in terms of development so it’s good. The US uses its sanctions to control global politics and it benefits financially from the dollar being the default. It got in that position (global leader) because at one time it was a lead global manufacturer and very stable, and I think China has recently surpassed us in manufacturing. But the USs lead is waning and it’s been involved in so many questionable things. But it’s been almost a century. So as the dollar does weaken, I’m hopeful the US can find other ways to maintain a certain degree of agency, while the world powers balance out and we head to a more multi polar global society. I see a major shift in the next few decades because BRICS+ still has kinks to iron out. I don’t think the US is going to crash and burn as some people are speculating. Our country is surely in decline but we do well in things like innovation, technology - even the arts. We have plenty of issues but we not going anywhere anytime soon. As for African Americans who live here, we’ve had to weather storms since before our country was a country and we are fully equipped for whatever comes our way. But I’ve been thinking a lot about BRICS recently and I’m glad it’s happening.

What the American media is not tell u is why and many people are not prepared for the coming financial crisis, but let me give u a hint, if the U S touch's the Russian reserves and use it to fight them that will not only speed up the fall of the dollar but it will be the final nail in the coffin, and the U.S.has been very reckless when it comes to spending and debt, which the rest of the world has to pay for. So it's no longer about seeking an alternative but it's necessary.

  • @ameenahameed8874

@@theoolyn282I’m not buying into the fear mongering. I have been getting my info from US media as well as a variety of different global sources. I did that because some sources are so biased that it’s hard to tell what is emotion and what’s fact. What I stated above is what I know based on living in the US and experiencing it all, the good and not so good as well as listening to different viewpoints and perspectives on the subject of BRICS from around the world and then my own analysis of the situation. I respect everyone’s right to their views - but I don’t do doom & gloom or fear mongering. We don’t know what the US is going to do with Russia in the future, so I’m not going to speculate on that. But I do know that the US is creative and innovative and as the power shifts and balances out, I can see the US creatively finding a way to stay afloat. It will no longer have its influence around the world, but maybe for once it can focus more on its own citizens. With all that said, I think the concept of BRICS is a great one and I look forward to seeing these countries progress and become more empowered.

@@ameenahameed8874If the BRICS manage to usher a BRICS currency or a basket of currencies backed by natural resources, what do you think will happen to the excess dollar held by the BRICS nations? Well we all know that everyone will try to buy goods and services from the US. Soon the US will no longer be able to print and buy and export inflation worldwide. 1-As it is now the US national debt goes up by 1 Trillion every 100 days. 2- The birth rate in the US is below replacement levels. 1.66 children per woman. 3- 56% of American adults have less than $1000 for emergency spending. 4- The homelessness rate is increasing on a yearly basis. 5- At some point there will be either wars to wipe out the debt or the debt must be repaid to the central Banks. At that point, you will own nothing and I am sure you won't be happy.

It means far, far more than that. Soon we will likely see the US become economically isolated from the globe. The store shelves will empty in weeks, if not days. Ultimately, we will likely see our corrupt government become insolvent as well. Many of us have not only seen this coming, but have also prepared as best that each of us can. Silver stacked, gardens growing and plenty of lead. The goal will be for the military to enact martial law. Why? Because tge military is mandated to return control to a civilian authority as quickly as possible. How is this good? Because the mandate REQUIRES it be returned to a constitutional government under COMMON LAW, and NOT the statutory law that captured us when our government unlawfully corporatized in 1871. This will be the end of morality laws and victimless crimes. Common law says if there is no victim, there is no crime. Freedom awaits

I do not think he is a dictator at all either. The west is the king of manipulation and telling everyone what to think about others. The west are bullies. Russians are patriotic and Putin can not be bought or control so they label him a dictator. Also india is self serving and want to over throw China all the time. Work on being a strong team instead of trying to be #1. They are influenced by the West so easily.

But if you loan there currency directly I'm not sure if it's less risky than USD

And I know for a fact that a lot of South Africans are getting money sent to them from Americans because the dollar value stretch so far there. If the US dollar devalues there would be no reason for Americans especially African Americans to relocate there or invest or send money over there.
