Definitely good points mentioned in the video. However you missed a few points which I believe are crucial to any web developer that's why I'm leaving elementor for Bricks 1. Semantic code output - Elementor's code output is far from semantic and definitely not in a scalable way like Bricks provide. 2. Accessibility issues - due to lack of semantic tags and lack of aria support elementor is not Accessibility friendly. This mistake can be costly. 3. Class based styling - Elementor doesn't offer class based styling in a scalable way like Bricks does.

Excellent way of breaking out the pros and cons of each. We don't have to always have a better or worse one; circumstances or type of usage/user would determine that in each particular case. It's like cars; you can't absolutely say a compact is better than a sports car, each one has its niche and pros/cons.

Imran, I enjoyed the video and agree with you to a point. Thanks to advice from Paul @WPTuts, I try and look at which tool(s) would be best for the client project; however, if I am the person that is constantly doing the backend updates, there comes a point where enough is enough. The pricing model alone (assuming you compare Elementor Pro vs Bricks) clearly favors one builder over the other. Additionally, I've been stung too many times moving from one upgrade to the next. I do agree with you that as a web developer, I should always consider the best product for the client. Part of that analysis should also include the history of each product a web developer considers. Thanks again for this video. -- P.S. Keep up the Bricks videos 🙂

If you're a good web designer, any of these page builders are good enough. BD is excellent, but when you say only 1.02 that's just a number, it's been in development for 3 years, and don't expect to get a good accessibility score any time soon. Bricks has a way to go yet, but the interface is much more 'standards' friendly.

Coming from using Divi to Bricks, I would say that Divi is in the same camp as Elementor. In terms of performance and having to deal with all the fine tuning I am finding Bricks a breath of fresh air. That said, from the recent Divi 5 progress report, it looks like performance will be much improved. Is there a chance that Divi may get a class system and other on the ball features that we see in Bricks? Possibly. There have been some small UI hints in recent versions, indicating that this may be possible. Nick did mention a while ago a global class system and something to address the over nesting. May we wake up one day and see ACSS running on there? 😮 It’s a big project so I guess we will have to wait and see.

For those of us starting out, but come from a frontend development background, what do you suggest? I don't mind having to add some CSS or javascript code at all. Also when a plugin says it has deep integration with something like elementor, what does that exactly mean? Because Woolentor and Cartflows will be part of my stack. What will me using bricks mean for them? I'm asking because I end up spending hours just to do little things (in terms of UI) in elementor and it's annoying. Thanks for the content, great channel!

Lack of repeater field support is also a key feature that is missing. I will buy bricks for sure but shall I get the limited deal license of oxygen as well? Elementor nowdays has to keep up with all the new kids on the block which many are more better having learnt from the past. Elementor now is too bloated compared to Bricks. Bricks websites are faster to load. Elementor has become more nested with all the add-ons to keep up and as a result more complicated.

Since when do you let a client fiddle with the website design? I think customers work on content why we work with a CMS right? And additionally, some clients don't even want to bother with the website things, why we provide care packages for them. And that's what you want as a web developer. Why the argument that Elementor is easier doesn't count in my opinion.
