Won't let me watch it ? Made account and all
This is the type of teacher people need. Very clear, very simplistic, no beating around the bush. To the point.
Some of the cleanest brickwork I've seen. Pride in your work is obvious to see
Not a criticism of the work, but the pillar looked far better beforehand when it actually matched the brickwork of the wall it was attached to. Now it just sticks out like a sore thumb. Jobs like this also seem like a boundary dispute waiting to happen, considering a least two thirds of the pillar is directly in front of the neighbour's garden, and only a small portion adjoins the fence.
Why do professionals make it look so easy???? Excellent work!!!
Don't know how you kept the face of the bricks so beautifully clean, well done you are credit to the trade
Pure art, surprised the neighbour didn't complain the wall was his.

The pier is not the neighbours. That’s why he changed it to match the other side 👍

@@Stucrompton1 That is a highly autistic degree of territoriality from the customer! Good job on your part. Shame about more building materials in landfill though, for the sake of somebody's toss vanity. Of all the things people can spend their money on.....
That pillar is as tight as the jams 🎸 accompanying the work. Art recognizing art. Beautiful work!
Tidy work, love the weather pointing.
Lovely brickwork! Nice clean finish and lovely pointing!
Brilliant work once again
As always Stu! Great Work Well Done!
I was desperate to be a bricky when I left school and was on course for an apprenticeship before my parents brought it to a halt - "get an office job, it's easy work, better on your joints when you're older blah blah blah" basically it's led to 11 years of mind numbing work when I could've been outside, learning an amazing skill, self employed, being creative. Listen guys anyone reading this, learn from others mistakes, not your own. Get out there and seize the day
Nice work guys, amazing 🤘👍
thanks for sharing pal, nice to watch :)
Stu I've been bricklaying since I was 16 been doing it 4 years now and honestly watching your videos helps me so much...absolutely brilliant Bricky and keep on doing your thing! 👊🏼

Please keep on bricking. You're awesome. That's all, have a beautiful day.
Pointing is tidy fella. Never done that type since college. Good job
Nice brickwork. And nice old style pointing sets it off
Super cool !!!
Love that black mortar
👍👍👍👍 nice one stu, hope it stays warm, loving this weather 👍👍😀.
Nice bricklaying. Why would the customer want a pier of rather unttractive new bricks of a totally different color placed next to the existing nicer darker bricks? I think the colors clash.

Maybe because it's hard to find that exact brick. I've been looking for two years now for same brick as my house to build garden walls to match the house, still looking.

Your pointing is beautiful, so neat a real bricklayer who loves his craft.
Cracking brickwork as always stu
Brilliant video and top job, as always....!
Clean work
Neat job. Love the bricklaying videos and learnt loads. Neighbours wall needs doing now. Not sure about that dome pier cap though ha.
I haven’t done a weather joint in about 30 years! Nice and clean.
Very clean and fantastic 👏👏👏👏
Very neat brickwork
Beautiful jobs
Very clean & professional job 👌
Thanks Stu really interesting. But the real star of the show was that pie!
Stu has cut and run the pillar, to the new brickwork he has constructed, plumb and level, on view it will run true and level. cracking job Stu.
Love your videos Stu! learnt so much from them. when setting posts (fencing/gates etc) we use Blue circle postcrete as it sets in 15 mins, can hang gates on posts easily. if you havnt used it try some great for speeding a job up.
Great brick laying👍
Beautiful pillar. It really shows how the wall has fallen out of plumb over the years. 👍👍🤓
Really like the great magnificent work you do stu 😊👍
top man proper nice work i am doing bricklaying in college and i wanna be like you and get to the same level of skill that you are at anyway have a good day bro
lovely, I wanted to see the blues and ball
Brilliant again Stu just one thing safety glasses when chiseling you only get one set of eyes mate👍
Fantastic video stu 💯% enjoyed watching 👍👍
Muy bacano quedo .
BB super !! Respect !!!
Thanks Mike...👍👍
That old wall needs some sort of weep holes so water can escape from behind all that dirt and water behind that wall then they wonder why they start to go out of plumb. Isn’t that pier in there boundary ?
Always learning from your video stu!
Nice bit of pointing there Stu, Bonny job!!! 😉
beautiful.
Excellent job

So satisfying to watch and so impeccable on the cement work🙌🏽🙌🏽
Nice work
So good 👌
Man you are awesome 👏
Great bricklaying Stu. But my amp is with wasteful customers who always want to break something which is perfectly fine, just for matching colours and textures. I understand it gives business to the trade, but if waste overall was a primary concern I’d think planet would do just much more better. I’ve recently bought so much of construction materials from a yard who salvaged brand new items from HS2 project, and it was only responsible for 2-3 miles of it. But HS2 is 100s of miles and waste is astronomical hence the cost of it spiralling out of control each year. It’s already costing taxpayers 5-10 x more than initial estimate. UniS should teach waste management too

Nice work that
Watching your videos stu is making me want to get back on the trowel....miss the self satisfaction of smaller jobs day to day....keep up the good work mate 👌👍
Nice! Ty
Awesome video. Planning on doing something similar. Is tying the pier into the original wall a strong enough fixing or should I run a rebar up the middle? Cheers
nice job
I did not know I was watching MTV!
Looks great buddy 🤩. Nice job Like 👍
I see you really like your work!!!!
You are very good at building
Cool👍
i have seen all your video, you are too good
love your work ,,,need to see how you jointer well with that small trowel... a video, with that part in normal motion perhaps
Very nice
good job.
How did he own just the pillar of the boundary..boundaries are determined over time seemed crazy changing that pillar that matched in perfectly to that wall already.surly his boundary ends with the post. Madness
Nice job mate. I really enjoy building pillars / piers. I Like the traditional pointing you do also

Yea I do love the weather struck myself. Better than a bucket handle or an old piece of hose lol.
Hi Stu. Love your videos but have a question...when you're building a pillar to put a large gate on, how do you make sure it's supported properly?
Fantástico genial
Muito bom amigo. Deus abençoe
Gud work dude keep it up
I think you might mean pillar! 😂 Beautiful work.
Great video. Piers look simple but anyone who has tried to build one will have found otherwise!! You are a real craftsman and its a pleasure to see your work.
Piece of cake...i start tomorrow lol
I just made outdoor water tap structure with solid bricks. Although I used spirit level it is slightly inclined, happily not obviously (especially if you watch my yard from flying airplane high above)✈️😜 I learned from this video that all what's needed was just a little more attention and control to make it straight: I was using eye many times to direct me instead of my spirit level, big mistake. For others: use primarely your leveler all the time, just as author presented here. Also pay attention on brick distance, which is IMHO harder to achieve with solid bricks than with hollow bricks. Pay att. how he immediately removes excess mortar, so he can use spirit level to adjust position. right a way. Fine video, thank you.
We have a small store here in my state that makes little pork pies like that their incredible
Nice work!! what kind of foundation would I need for such a pillar. Mums wanting me to build something similar to hold a gate to her drive. Three pillars two gates. Would I need a steel anchor also?
My Friday night is watching this on KZread so I can have a crack at some steps…
Hi Stu; what engineering Manufacturer bricks Do you use (on pillars, & Tops of walls , coping bricks .. I always watch yr site vids . Thank you
Nice. What morter mix ratio is that I do fencing and my customer thinking about pillars
Great videos Stu 👍👍👍. Just had a go at rebuiding the first of 10 piers in my front garden. They are topped with a large coppin stone, which is showing signs of weathering, any ideas on refinishing them to former glory?
