Yes you can add water base colour in putty to change its colour

Paint the wall grey prior to the Mudd. Mix red pigment in the Mudd prior to applying. Then you got a brick look. Good job though.

I think that tape is wet enough , will soak away marks.

I want this as my accent wall but in a very dark color

Always use putty for texture work and it comes in varieties. Plaster of paris will not be suitable for texture work. As it dries faster and will not form a clean piece of work. However, cnfrm frm a pro

Could this plaster be made somehow more flexible to be used in the back of a truck so it wouldnt crack with a little flexing?

I am not an expert regarding this, but i had some putty work done on my home walls and it dries quickly and i wont recomend it to be used inside the truck. It would crack becaues its no flexible. Its way too brittle. Its best only for inside wall of a home.

Nice! But how did you remove the pencile line under the tape? I can see you put the tape on with the pencile line in the middle as a guiding line but after removing the tape the pencil line is gone. That is a bit strange.
