I think the years part is exaggerated. Brian Shaw has been training strongman lifts for years, including wrist, grip, hand, and forearm, and anything else he'll be using at the table. He just needs to learn technique and he has the best trainer in the world in Devon. I'd give him a year tops before he makes it into the top 2 or 3

Brian Shawgashvili will grow up to become one fine armwrestler in the next decade or so.

I feel Brian will get humiliated by much smaller guys if he steps into pro arm wrestling . He will be a target of anyone just for the bragging rights

Never mind hand size per se, look at what the hands of Brian have done grip strength wise. In particular certain dumbbells he's lifted with really thick handles, that in some cases only a few people on the planet have lifted. Ones you need a huge hand for, as well as huge strength.

I think it's disrespectful to armwrestling to think that someone who's never done anything related to it, would come in and win against a guy who's been dominating since 2017 and has dedicated his whole life to the sport. I understand that people want to see the king fall, but if it'll be an outsider or a newbie - that would look bad for the sport. That's why I believe no non-armwrestler has a chance at Levan. That's the same as to say someone from NBA would go and win a gold medal in Olympic long jumps, just because he can do 360 dunks.

I think its disrespectful to the sport of armwrestling to be close-minded. We can't just deny the fact that its a possibility that a newcomer could beat someone thats trained his whole life. Some people are just genetically gifted. There are many instances where people have years of experience only to lose to someone more naturally gifted. I'm not saying Brian is more naturally gifted than Levan. And this holds true to any sport, even other aspects of life too, like academics. Thats where the very well known saying, "There's always a bigger fish" comes from. Also to counteract your statement that it'd look bad for the sport. If a new guy beat Levan it'd give hope to new people and bring more people in if anything. It is not a bad look.
