He has probably been financially secure for many decades now and had his music career for such a long time so he probably has had the time and money to do it in later life that other regular folks might not have had.

However much I'd like to be on first name with this guy, I'll always consider him a sir. Look at the legacy, look at how he interacts with people. Many knights could learn a lot from him... Always so humble despite being a commander ;) best wishes Brian, if you're reading along... You deserve more.

Dr. May CBE I am 76 and new to Queen. I was in an an acapella choir in high school and remembered how our directive was always to focus on our conductor. I have watched your face and eyes as you played with Freddy Mercury. And it was the same. Your eyes never left him, You mesmerized me with your concentration on Freddy’s movements and music. OMG. What a band mate and musician you are.

Love your music! Being married to a pro musician (deceased-cancer) for 30 plus years, I know grand music when I hear it, and yours is grand. Our two sons are also accomplished musicians so again your music gets an A plus from them. I’m a writer/school teacher so I notice a gifted writer when I see his/her words and yours is awesome. I didn’t start listening to Queen until just a few months ago because I am a late bloomer (six children) and started college and graduated. It wasn’t easy with a husband on tour during that time and having my sixth child a couple of months before I graduated. I am going for my doctorate and writing my desertation on Queen so I read a lot on you all. The reason I am just getting acquainted with your music and Queen is because I was studying nonstop. So, am so glad that I discovered the music of Queen. With that and your album I am pretty much into the music. I am sorry for writing so much, but that’s what I do…write. Thank you all for giving me such an interesting subject to write about. “Better late than never.” right?
