Elder was back to himself tonight, pitching a gem. The offense blew up, though late in the game we started getting greedy on those hits, but at that point we were already well up enough to not worry about that. Ozuna though, that dude went crazy.

If the ball hits the wall, even the top of the wall, and bouces back into to field(assuming it doesn't hit anything over the wall first, including a fan) then the ball is in play and not a homerun. I missed this play live and only saw the quick replay here so could be missing something, but it looks like it hit top of the wall and bounced back into the field, hince no homer.

@@rwwilson21not true, the ball has to go over the wall. If it would’ve hit the grass just past it, it would’ve been a homer. I remember a similar thing happening to Tim Hudson of all people, about 10 years ago. Ball bounced straight off the top of the wall in dead center, not the edge like Arcia tonight, I mean like square on the top of the wall, and bounced just back inside. Was ruled a double, not a home run, after review.

Home plate umpire was pretty generous all night for both teams but oh well. It's crazy the amount of power Ozuna can generate with very little movement on his foreswing compared to his backswing. Sells out on his follow through with that really wide looping movement that sometimes hits catchers in the helmet. Was hoping for a better outing from Taylor hearn. I think he is supposed to be the left-handed stopgap until AJ and Dylan make it back. Maybe he can put something together next couple of games. Great to see Ozuna getting hot again. But what the heck was that by Heran? That was the one trade i was really scratching my head about. Ugly debut. Hope they can work with him and he can have a better outing next time he gets on the mound.

This umpires strike zone is rather large . While some of those bad calls were close , several of them were not even .
