Of course it's just what I read online but of many sources almost all of them seem to put the blame on Carl and his ego. You think it would be the lead singer but it does happen and some bands from time to time.... But I agree to your point they are better together..

I've seen them 3 times 3 at some of those festivals in summer and once for the Awake tour which I believe was their first time headline. For those who think he can't sing... um he just doesn't have to snarl like the 20 something year old he was anymore. It was great back then but also the trend of back then to scream sing half the song. This guy can still sing and he does sound like the way he sounds on radio. A lot artists don't come close without their voices being auto tuned or filtered in some way. Also towards the end of the set there was naturally sounds of fatigue but he came off the bat amazingly.

I was so stoked when this popped up on my video feed. Brett's vocals are just a good as before. He may not have wrote most of their songs but it takes a great singer to bring them to the next level. And no one can sing these songs like Brett. I would have loved to walk up to this show. Loved the chill vibe of the band and no stage production. Just raw rock and roll. Would love to see Brett and Kevin Martin of candlebox do some collaborative material. Awesome dudes.
