Been using this rod for a week now and couldn't be happier. It is my chatterbait rod and it absolutely sets the hook for you. Haven't lost a fish yet. I use the Daiwa Tatula w/ 17# PLine fluro.

This is sure to be their best selling rod because it's Brett's main weapon

Keep in mind, adding the trailer will add weight.

    3/8 jig and a 3/8 trailer = 3/4oz

I hope u realize those details on a rod are not neccesarily accurate. If you're good enough, u should be able to throw a baitcaster with ALL the brakes completely off and loose, no matter the size bait or line or weather conditions. They also make a 7'0ft medium heavy glass version too

If you throw a 3/8 and then you add a trailer its now it weights 1/2 or more
