Absolutely. Bret comes off as very narcissistic with how he overrates himself, and always complaining about things that happened 20-30 years ago. That is why it's so hard to take him serious, but he is right sometimes.

@@jarviswood5 If you're talking about people like Adam Page then 100% I can see what you mean. AEW talent in general is really lacking discipline with the exception of a few guys such as MJF. Say what you want about WWE, but you can't stay on the top there without great work ethic and respect for the business.

he has a right to be bitter about WCW lol look at all the ex WWE stars that were there and none of them took that place seriously, until Bret got there he took his craft seriously and rightly so he was raised doing it, but he knew from being close to Vince how it should be and here he is in WCW watching everyone do the complete opposite

WCW had a weird situation where they had the best wrestlers and the best storyline with the NWO, but the weekly stories were terrible and incoherent. The story Bret told here highlights the biggest issue with WCW at this time: no clean wins ever. It was always some stupid disqualification or cheating so they could never put anyone over or create stars. Who did they create? Goldberg because of the streak in beating scrubs? They had Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero, and Rey Mysterio but they were mid-carders until they hit the WWE. I guess Booker T was the only one.

Anyone ever notice that whenever Hogan wrestled in the WCW, eventhough he was usually older, he moved easier and faster than when he wrestled in the WWF/WWE? Seriously. Watch WrestleMania III when he was early 30's. He moved slower than in this match here, years later. Then he returned to WWE to fight Rock and he was slower again. It was brutal. People loved seeing him again, but in that match he was back to moving like a 🚜 . 🤔🤷‍♂️
