HBK: telling Bret he wouldn't do the honours for him if it was him dropping the title. Too immature and couldn't show some proper respect to Bret. Vince: deciding to cancel Brets 1996 contract. Bad creative for Bret. Bret: Being too headstrong and taking things way too seriously and personal.

Now yes, but at the time period he was talking about in this clip, McMahon wanted to wipe the name Hart from the WWE. Bret The Hitman Hart is one of the best wrestlers of his era. His matches were flawless and so believable! But I will day the HOF is a joke for the fact of people who have made it in and then others who haven't. Its based on whatever Vince McMahon wants or who he wants in the HOF! There is no physical building or HOF to remember those who earned the induction. I used to be a huge WWE fan back in the 80s and 90s but it's just not entertainment or wrestlikg for quite a long time.

Sounds like Vince didn't really plan on releasing a DVD called "screwed" but was simply using it as a tactic to get Bret to open up and do it his way - simple reverse psychology.

I think it goes over Bret’s head that Vince gets a kick out of screwing Bret lol it wasn’t even just the screw job, how many times has Vince promised him something and taken it back? Like the time he said he would be champ for a long time and then took it from him to give it to Hogan? Fool me once shame on you, fool me 2, 3, 4 times? Just stop believing Vince man

@@NoneofYabiz-rx3zi Vince also could have asked him like a normal competent person. I'm sure Bret would have been in on it. If the man wasn't feeling mentally and physically ready yet, give him a few more years. The guy suffered a stroke just a few years earlier. The Owen Hart tragedy wasn't too long ago at that point... And Vince still had the nerves to blackmail him? Where was the humanity before 2007? Apparently Chris Benoit had to do what he did in order for the WWE to become more human. Today they absolutely wouldn't dare to do a production like "The Self-destruction of the Ultimate Warrior". What a bizarre world.
