    Some people think that hiring an allegedly pretty yet obviously vacuous young woman is all you need. Don't think Mr. Spiner was too impressed, but he pretty much put her in her place and took charge of the Q&A. Loved the look on his face when the comedy teacher called him Mr. Spooner - it was like game on. Suppose even the worst convention experience for these guests is alright as long as the cheque clears.

    My question would be, "Brent, how long was Data really Lore?" At the end of Data-Lore Lore and Data have a huge fight which ends with one of them being beamed off the ship into space. The crew ask the other one "Are you okay." and he responds, "I'm fine." Clearly it was Lore, not Data who won the fight. I'd like to know how long it was before Data rejoined the crew. Was it after Data and Lore meet again in Song's lab?

    30:10 data can totally get old and he probably would totally want to get old cause that would just be another step in his quest to understand humanity. so, we got this new picard show coming up, you just say he found a way to graft skin that ages all over his body thanks to ideas he (or someone else)got from the borg when they grafted a piece on him. the queen knew that having skin and feeling is a step toward humanity, its not impossible to think that data could find his own way after. esp since its 20 years later and he wanted his friends to feel comfortable around him but leave out the emotion chip so he can still be more similar to the data we remember on the inside and say its cause it would be too much input because of how hes not the original data and only the prototype or something but it can be done!!!!

    I know that Brent hasn't seen episodes but the first 20,.....which is unfortunate since the first season was the absolute worst,....but he should watch the top/best episodes of the show because there is much to gain from the production department. It creates a more fantastic experience than just the script or acting it out. I know Brent will never see this, but it's too bad he doesn't see more of the later episodes.

    He said in one of these things that the question he gets asked most often is "are you single?" He might have been joking; it's hard to tell with him. A member of the audience called out "ARE you?" And he said no, he wasn't single. And that's ALL he said. He mentions his son fairly frequently but he NEVER mentions his wife/partner/girlfriend (it's unclear exactly what she it). That's kind of odd. He's an odd duck.

  • @WolfFireheart

    @WolfFireheart

    Its not that he doesn't understand them. His programming doesn't allow him to use them. This is kinda explained in one of the Lore episodes. People got weirded out by how human he was. Kinda like the uncanny valley effect. They intentionally made Data less human, like not being allowed to use contractions. So he wouldn't fall into the uncanny valley.

He's been projecting that image since the time the show was only partway through its run.
