He had me at paper drop. He has such a raw talent and looks to go with it. I think he could benefit from a little training. I can hear him straining his voice in some parts. He needs to protect it. Very angelic voice.

He was in a band called hometown. You listen to roses by them! It’s so pretty and showcases his voice perfectly

True. Louis Walsh recruited him the year before to represent Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest. They know each other pretty well I guess :).

I just love this singer, what a great talent.

His voice is so soulful, high pitched as angel. Amazing

Brendan is a sweetheart and has a really authentic unique voice, he deserves much more credit.

The vocal lilt that he has is so pristine and never sounds forced. I get irritated by a lot of male singers with high voices that sound kind of cloying or unnatural. But his voice is incredibly unique in that he's not forcing it and his natural style and tone are not cloying at all, just so sweet and honey to my eardrums. And the occasional lilt he hits is 100% captivating every time. I honestly can't understand why I haven't seen him become incredibly, incredibly famous. He has the voice for it and the effortless charisma, classic almost retro good looks. Someone needs to set him up with some synthpop bangers and some poetically elevated songs like the kind Tears for Fears wrote. I think he could break the radiowaves.

Go and watch him sing with members of his old group ‘Hometown’. They sing ‘O Holy Night’ it’s simply beautiful. His voice in that song with the group shines. Merry Christmas!! 🎄

Brendan has a version of Hallelujah - search for it. Also his version of Chandelier and Sherran’s Perfect is beyond compare.

Those high note are truly something else. He's amazing

I can't believe he didn't win. When are you going to here another voice like his. The reason I loved him is because his voice is so different. I think he thought he was going to win and thats what so sad. I loved every song he did on the xfactor.

Such a soothing voice... Very angelic voice.... Simon is the best to find the diamond in music. Salute!!

He has a such special voice. So special that there's not much song that really suit him. Once he got the right song he really could blow out my mind. It's a shame to see him still struggling after 3 years.

His voice is soo strong , so good. He was born to be a star, the problem is, none of the songs were really able to show his voice off in it's full truest potential. I wish they played around a bit with the songs instead of just giving soft, sad songs to "match his voice" but it doesn't work. He would be a hit even after x factor only if they chose the right songs to show his voice off. Also his voice kind of reminds me of nysnc and stuff, maybe putting him in a band could've been really good. His voice would REALLY suit those kind of songs and at the same time, they'd show off how powerful his voice really is. But even on his own, he could do so much. But they only decided to give him soft, sad, boring songs just because his voice sounds high and soft. He needed more playful, energetic, pop'y songs as they'd really suit his voice and get him a career ahead of him. Truly a disappointment from x factor, but he did AMAZING!!.

If this was not a shortened season with continuous double elims, I think there would be a lot more growth here for Brendan, and he might have potentially been able to win instead of missing the finals

I accidentally listened to the "Hometown" band's cover of "O Holy Night" and I was gonna skip it... but i didnt, and then a unique voice just popped and then I was so shock and like... i wanna cry cuz his voice is so... 😩

He has the looks and his talent is phenomenal. Good thing about him is he has his own tone which every singer needed to succeed. He has his own IDENTITY. His voice is a mixed of the younger Justin Bieber and michael Jackson but still manages to has his own tone. Good thing about Simon is he gives Bren his chance to showcase his talent. Oh why oh why did he have to sing everybody hurts ?? I have not been able to listen to that song in years ever since it was played at my best friends funeral over 26 years ago, it's one of my favourite all time songs but leaves me in tears everytime I hear it this was no exception, it makes me think of my friend everytime i hear it as it was his favourite and it reminds me of how he was taken far far too soon 💔

His version of "hold on" was just on another level...his tone made the lyrics seem more profound & haunting
