Kelly and Dylan had zero chemistry. Never liked them together.

Couldn’t beat Perry and Doherty’s chemistry. Brenda & Dylan were always connected…even through the ups and downs. At the end of the day, whenever Dylan needed someone to really talk to, to understand him, he would always run to Brenda and when Brenda needed him, he would run to her. They were hands down the best couple, period.❤

I blame Jim’s king baby tantrum behavior for causing too much stress on this young couple. He never spoke to Brandon in the abusive tone that he did to Brenda. Even when he was arrested for drunk driving.

You are not alone. . .I'm here,too! Kelly's character annoys me,but more than anything her disgusting voice. Something like a style between " sprach feller" and a baby voice. I had a female friend who was in that style and it always got on my nerves terribly, first Kelly then later my friends.

The beauty of Dylan and Brenda's bond is that they are both lovers and best friends. They can understand and talk to each other, and offer the other a different point of view. Kelly, overall, I didn't like her relationships with boys. I think her character is more interesting when she's single. But I would have liked the writers to give her a real romantic relationship with Allison, the girl from the fire. Very cute Iris who is happy to see Brenda and Dylan together 😂

Agreed. They connected on more levels than just sex and lust. Which is how Dylan and Kelly started out and as to why it ended so poorly. Kelly and Brandon were better suited for each other.

Always thought she should have done some poolside lez stuff with Sandy from Melrose Place in an attempt to get Jake’s attention, but then decided she liked it. When she returned to Beverly Hills she could have maybe hooked up with Andrea or Freaky Felice. Would have made more sense than that stealing Dylan storyline that ruined her character for good.

Dylan and Brenda were teenage love. It’s unfortunate Brenda’s character had to be made insufferable due to behind the scenes drama but Perry and Garth had amazing chemistry and they were given good material. Bottom line, anybody is free to write their own fan fiction and play out entirely different scenarios.

​@kathconserv got to agree with you about Kelly. From the very start of the show til the end of the series. Really just a character that I was never invested in. Sure she's attractive enough but it was all surface and shallow and selfish for me in regarding the character. I never really enjoyed much about the character's life on the show particularly her relationships. Even Brandon was too good for her and I was up and down with Brandon in the series. Take her or leave her and I was pretty much on the leave team when it came to Kelly.

The reason Brenda and Dylan had so much chemistry was because their relationship was about the connection between them as people, their souls, their intellect; there was substance. With Kelly it seems like it was all physical and then the other stuff mentioned above was forced to give the relationship meaning (being in the same kindergarten class 🫠).

Iris preferred Brenda, Erica preferred Brenda, let’s be honest Brenda is the girl you bring home to your family and the girl you marry, Kelly is a practice girl who guys don’t bring home to the family and is there for a good roll in the hay, never anything serious, she’s there when you’re in between classy, marriage material ladies.
