This is the first video I’ve seen by this guy and the last. While yea the geckos look healthy. I get sick of seeing people just throw these animals around like toy cars or collectibles. I don’t care what response you have to that no matter if it doesn’t stress them or you’ve done it like that for 20 years it’s unnecessary to the max. And he calls some of them ugly??? Bro dose not need to be in the animal business, these type of people just trying to make a buck by penny pinching and putting living animals in unrealistic habitats. Big booooo!!👎👎

I appreciate your honest opinion. There is no arguments to be made with you, but I do suggest that you collect more information about keeping these animals, as we follow all guidelines about proper housing and we are indeed experts in our field. When we say ugly, it does not mean that we don't love them, it's just they do not look stereotypical, which actually means we kind of have a soft spot for them. Or else, why would we keep it! We love our animals, all our animals and the well being of these animals is our #1 priority! Until then, NO STRESS' and best of luck!!! There are many more channels on youtube which i am sure you will find something you will like! cheers

While I do appreciate you professionalism, that is a very lame response, like a GM of (petsmart👀) response. Mae and anyone who actually cares about how the gecko (FEELS) know, that ain’t it big bro😂🤦🏻‍♂️. But it’s fine I guess, ppl been ruining things and lives since the beginning of time.

@@thaa_jordan6656 I appreciate you still being here in the conversation. You did start your first comment with you did not care about what response i might have. Therefore, what i actually feel for these animals would not matter. My life has been about educating and sharing my passion with everyone that is willing to do so. We pride ourselves on becoming better people day in and day out. The market has grown enormously in the last few decades and the animal care information is super impressive! we have come a long way and still have so much to learn. we are not here today to judge but to share our own experiences and passion. we can always be better. most importantly is to keep a positive attitude ! no stress and all the best.

Is pine bark and calcium sand bad for gecko? I've been sitting here for hours googling and watching videos about pine bark and calcium sand, people say calcium sand is bad for geckos because it causes impaction same with pine bark, its on google too. But others say sand is okay for their gecko unless it swallows the sand. My gecko used to have tissue paper and the other day I finally gave him substrate. What should i do? Should I go back to tissue temporarily? (Basically i put calcium sand first and on top of it are pine barks) pls help.

AS you mentionned, i suggest that when using loose substrate, that you should feed in a dish. i have kept my geckos on calcium sand (feeding in a dish) and is was good as they were licking the amount of vitasand or calcium sand they needed, but as a display tank they were super dusty! i like the excavator clay by zoomed. hours of fun with that for designing the cage

Why, when you watch a how to care for video, they tell you to use this light bulb for this reason and that light bulb for that. But in every video where a breeder shows you his breeding collection, you see stacks and stacks of geckos in plastic containers with no lighting whatsoever?

  • @FA-FridleysArsenal

Leopard Geckos are nocturnal. They do not need any special type of lighting. Although you can use a regular light bulb for a day/night cycle.

Your watching the wrong care videos buddy, heat mats, heat tape, radiant heat, ambient heat are all viable options heat lights are no good specially the daylight bulbs if your plan is leave it on 24/7 the animal would have no day and night cycle and as to night time bulbs or infrared bulbs they still produce enough visible light for the animal to see possibly having an effect not sure but
