I put it on once the males nest fully breaks down the the fry are free swimming :))
I bought what was supposed to be 2 female bettas online to start my female betta tank and well I guess I got sent a male and a female and now I have a bunch of betta fry everywhere in my tank
Very nice video!!! Where’s the 4-8 weeks??
I have a question i have a bunch of frozen brine shrimp but i have none of the vinegar stuff u have is it okay if i feed them that instead?
Awesome video! I have a couple of questions. When your male is in the tank for the first 3 days, do you keep a light on 24/7 so he can pick up the fry all the time? My other question is when you start feeding the vinegar eels or infusoria, what is your feeding schedule? Does this change when you switch over to BBS? Oh and 1 more question, did you have to use multiple disc BBS hatcheries to have a continuous supply of BBS? I have one and it works awesome but wondering if 1 is enough. Thanks so much!

I can definitely answer this for you! I do not leave the light on for the male. I do the same light/dark cycle as my other tanks. I’ve has no issue getting hundreds of fry still. I try and feed 3-4 times a day. Normally I get 3 times at this age. I just look at their stomachs and feed once their no longer full. Pretty much stays the same form the beginning. Once they get older I will feed even more often to get some faster growth. I’m able to store some baby brine in the fridge for the 12hr it takes me to hatch new brine shrimp. In the past i have also run 2 hatcheries and offset them to always have fresh hatched bbs.

@@pnwbettas Perfect, thanks so much! Can’t wait for updates on these babies 🤩
Is there any other alternative other than live , could I use crushed up flakes or something I rlly don’t like feeding live

Not if you want to breed no. You will end up starving a good portion of the spawn and not get good survival rates
I woke up the next day n the eggs was gone so wwas the bubble nest
What is the size of the bucket you use for spawning?

Bro the breeding the easy part I don't even know how to feed them fry

That because you never feed them,you should feed them with artemia
@ngakjelass2702

And you should take away the male after the fry's hatching for 10 days

You've been feeding them, right? They need infusoria, and I've also heard of them being fed hard boiled egg yolk dissolved into water.
My bettas destroyed the bubble nest and few collected eggs didn't hatch 😢
Can u tell me the places u buy bettas cuz i want to start a store filled with bettas but beautiful can u tell me where to buy them

I import all my own fish. I am actually a betta retailer in the US, so these are two fish I imported and decided to keep and breed. I sell all my fish on my website which is www.Pnwbettas.com
I only have access to bloodworms so what should i do with frys?
@pnwbettas
26 күн бұрын
Not breed honestly. Bloodworms won’t be sufficient food for bettas this small, they won’t be able to eat them. I also wouldn’t suggest feeding one food like that from this small of an age. Having live cultures like vinegar eels and hatching out baby brine shrimp are pretty essential in my opinion. They need live food small enough for them to eat.
My male betta is cutting with female. I tried with many different betta (female and male) but male cutting to female. Now female is in the corner of tank.what can i do?😢
My fires end up dying after feeding brine shrimp please can anyone help me out
@pnwbettas

One possibility is that you are feeding too much and they aren’t all getting eaten. You want to make sure you remove any uneaten dead ones off the bottom of the fry tank.
why is the water brown

tannins. search up "blackwater aquariums." basically, there are some plants/organic materials (stuff like leaves and wood) you can put in water that will release lots of tannins, which turns the water dark. it looks dirty, but it actually has health benefits for the fish, like preventing fungal diseases. i don't think you can use just any organic material to create the effect though; a common example is indian almond leaves
@T_y_302

Most likely it’s Indian almond leaves there great for betta fish or tannings
Will these bettas be sold on ur website?

Tannines lowering the PH. Must use botanicals for these fish to reproduce!
They swim in pee?
