Going to Breck for the first time in 35 years! My son and a friend that I went with 35 yrs ago are joining me Jan 2016. These are the kinds of tips I'm looking for...thanks Bert.
Thanks for the tips Burt, I am a Breck lover myself and go there every time we have the time.
I'm so excited to go to Breck at the end of January again! It's gonna be my second time in Breck and fourth time in North-America. I've been in Whistler, Keystone and all over Europe and I can say with confidence that the snow in Colorado is the best I've seen. The champagne powder is awesome, so much better than we get over here in Europe.
yea bro going this weekend from NC can’t wait 🤙🏼
Headed to Breck on Thursday. Thanks for the tips!
Thanks a lot Bert! I made up my mind already thanks to your tips. I'm goin to ski at Keystone, Breck, Cooper and Vail. Thats it! Hope to see you there!
this looks so awsome cant wait to go this January thanks for the secrets
peak 7 has some of the most fun tree runs. and uper lamen and lower lamen off by by peak 9 is the best for people who like park and runs :P
Such a great review! It’s really hard to find such detailed review from someone who really skied on those slopes. I wish you did updated reviews. Best holiday wishes!
Hey Gavin, if you are a decent intermediate rider go ahead and try them! at Imperial Bowl stay under the chair lift or to the left. Peak 7 is defently more challenging! once you get off imperial express chair take the catwalk along Whale's Tail then half way between peaks 8 and 7 you can dropp into Y-Chute trail, take your time in the middle thru the chute were is more steep. You can also try Magic Carpet trail but stay below peak 7 and traverse under the rock outcrops and avoid Art's Bowl.
It's all good, you will do fine - get out early, then eat lunch by 10:30 or 11, then pace yourself of the rest of the day - have fun!
Last march we went to breck and it was fun, peak 7 were my fav runs
I ended up doing Imperial bowl, horshoe, and contest. I also did devils crotch, mustang, dark rider, and elan. Ended up being a lot easier than I imagined.
My favorite 2 runs are Windows and Doors. Doors you not find on the map but is twice as steep as Windows and tighter. Back side of Peak 9, even at 3pm you can make fresh tracks. very hard to find but worth it!
beginner skiers and riders like you can find some cool green slopes thrugh out the mountain... stay away from peak 9, chair 6, imperial express and the T-bar... from all others you can allways find an easy way down. the blue slopes on peak 9 can be a bit challanging for beginners but those on peak 7 are very nice crusing slopes.
Breck is awsome cant wait till Feb23-29
This needs an update. Peak 6.... come back and do more videos. Or actually do some videos skiing on the actual mountain with your tour
thanx for the advice :)
Go to 6 at 8:30 am, that is when they launch the superchairs. They're pretty prompt on the open time.
Going to breck for the first time in 13 days I'm super stoked!! I ride mostly park but can't wait to hit peak 8 and some powder any suggestions
Thanks! I hope it's going to be as phat as you say! If you have more advice on runs to take, keep me posted :-).
Do you think you will make a new video once they get peak 6 done?
any suggestions on a reasonably priced condos to stay in in breck?
our family may go there next march, looks really cool, but i'm concerned about the lift lines because none of our family members are very patient.
i would consider my self an intermediate snowboarder would i be fine doing the bowls on top peak 8 and 7. ive done 2 double blacks but they were in new york
Hi. Planning on visiting Breck in mid Oct. I noticed you said one can hike up/down from peak What? (Min 3:30) it'll be the whole family. The youngest is 5. But we're all pretty "tough" :), last year we hicked a different mnt. Everyday /5days( hanging lake, Aspen mnt etc) in November. (Much colder than October (I think) now we want to do something a lil' more "intense":) any suggestions? TK!
hey bert, i am planing to go there next January and i was wondering.. is it crowded in january? when is it less crowded? thanks!
sorry I said stay way from peak 9 but I ment peak 10....
im not an advanced snowborader and peak 10 is all blacks, were all green and blue areas, since we only have 4 days of experience.
They just built Peak 6!
Peak 8 is crowded
@graham676 Cool, have a great time - we're getting pounded right now!
@nickpete123 Right on! Get up there and some deep off the Imperial chair for me! Thx

This year? So far there isn't - we've had a pretty bad winter so far. Breck is pretty mellow for the most part - do one of the 420 tours then head on up there.
. . . hmmmm . . . yes, Breck is not the best place to be when you're short on patience . . . get up and out early and get on over to Peak 10 for the mid part of the days. Have fun!
