We had some of the early anime episodes on in the background one night mostly to keep her daughter entertained but I plan to try to get her into it more once we've moved in together. I'm currently at episode 918 of the anime and I can confirm that you guys have barely scratched the surface of this amazing show. Buckle up coz its one amazing ride ahead

One Piece is 1089 Episodes for now .. its SUPER LONG .. BUT it MAKE SENSE.. the world is very VERY detailed , had its own depth and story on each island and areas.. But not everyone noticed it , you have to appreciate how Oda build this massive believable MOVING world .. guy's a genius

Merry Christmas, you two. It's great to see you're both enjoying One Piece since the success of its live action adaptation on Netflix. What you guys saw on this video were sneak peeks of what's to come in the series.

For me, untill Loguetown Arc was the intro of One Piece. (Ep 1 to Ep 53). From Logetown to Long Ring Long Land Arc is the introduction to Grand line. (Ep 61 to 228). One piece gets into the main storyline and gets gripping in the Water 7 arc, which starts in Ep 229. From there, it's a journey.

As long as one piece is there comes a point where you start to think that it is not nearly long enough

There are some islands that appears only in the movies, starting from the movie "Strong World" (2011) various movie was written by Oda the author in person so they are basically canon with the main story :3

Nope, none of them are canon, even the ones written by Oda. A couple of them introduced villains which are canon, but the events of the films in which those villains are introduced aren't canon.

​@@skyuru Let me phrase it this way. The movies may have certain canon aspects (the existence of shiki and uta, shanks lore) but their main plots canonically didn't happen within the main story.

Btw aside from scenes directly from the show it also has some scenes from the One Piece movies. Currently One Piece has 15 movies. Most one piece movies don’t directly affect the show so they are considered non-canon to the story. But some characters named in the show appear in the movies and some movie characters might potentially appear in the show later on. I don’t recommend you to see any movies yet. Only after watching episode 517 of the series you can watch I think the first 8 of the 15 movies to be on the safe side and not get spoiled. From movie 9 - 13 you would have to probably watch 300 or so more episodes to not get spoiled. Then catch up to OP before watching movie 14 and 15

You should watch again this video once you reach the "end" (at least up to now), and you will have a massive feeling of "yes I remember this moment!" on many visuals. But pay attention to the "spoil". Spoils occurs when you ask yourself questions on what you see. If you asked yourself "why [that]?" then when you will see something in the anime, you will make a link with your question, and you will somehow guess things. It's the difference between someone saying "Sanji will join the crew" and watching and guessing "I think Sanji will join the crew". Your perception of the anime could change. And merry christmas!

Yo I actually stand corrected there is a couple things you should NOT see in the “greatest story every told” but I think it’s worth watching there isn’t any spoilers that are crazy enough to actually spoil anything

I m sad no other people commented this but they don't go as long as me on this topics, if you've seen this video and think that One Piece best excelling point/category is world building then you will be shocked that it isn't, there's something greater than that and has every single one piece fan can confirm, which is, the story, the greatest story ever told, not only that they've got a 10/10 on worldbuilding but story aswell, better than the world building, a 11/10. And all of the stuff you've seen for example flying ships and cities in the sky all are explained and good written, one piece is not like other animes, everything, every single thing is good written and there aren't many plot holes except a few which are still mysteries i guess. I hope you enjoy this because i've hated it for years and said that i'll never watch it, well guess what, this year is my fourth year after i finished one piece and it is the greatest thing i've ever witnessed.

I love this video so much I watched it 3 times in a row lmao. Some ppl in the comments are warning about spoilers but I don't think you have to worry, the clips were so fast and the story is so long you will 10000% forget any potential minor detail shown here. It blows my mind how vast this world is and Oda's world building and design is magnificent to behold. Have fun on the journey and look forward to some of the beautiful places it will take you! (Also- some clips were from movies, worth it to figure out which movies are worth watching and when in the anime timeline they should be watched.)

I like one piece it’s my childhood anime. Dragon ball z, bleach, naruto and one piece are the best childhood anime, It’s classic. There are more childhood anime like pokemon, detective cohan

Only thing i "dislike" about one piece is that i cant watch if again with 0 knowledge. It is indeed one of the best stories ever tole. Oda is absolute God of storytelling

I know that it's impossible to talk at the end of the episode bcz i myself(me) is not controlled when i watch it with somebody. It's just a request or advice you guys can decide. Don't watch anything else fan-created. This is perfect as a teaser and anything else just comes with too many spoilers because they inevitably get lost trying to use at least one example to support whatever points they are making.. but explaining those examples are spoilers in their own right that are IMHO more fun to unexpectedly experience than to be used as an example of why One Piece is amazing. Nice video, although I am a bit sad you included so little of your post-commentary, instead cutting have like five very short clips near the end. Have a nice 2024!

This is one reason why the live action might not keep up with the anime in the future, as you need Avengers level of budget to re create these worlds like we saw in the anime and even then, it might not be breathtaking as this.

Is there spoilers in it? Yes, there were massive spoilers in it. But since you reacted to it this early, you will forget it when you reach there. The only spoiler i think you got is the existence of floating islands, which was a mystery until 2 arcs from your current episode.. But only rewatch it after starting the wano arc, as that's when this video is made and it contains spoilers up to that arc.

I can't wait for you guys to experience the story up until where we're at right now. One Piece, imo, started out as a solid 6/10 anime, but it jumps to around 8/10 around episodes 250-300, and later on it becomes a 9.5/10. When you get there, you start realizing for yourself why people call it the best story ever told.
