Hello! Thanks a lot for your channel it's very useful!! I have one question: what do you think about dry brushing after cancer treatment (chemo, double mastectomy and now antihormonal therapy)? Is it good or not?

I don’t have experience with dry brushing. Leave another comment if you try it.

In the past, there were restrictions given in terms of exercise for fear of it causing lymphedema. These are myths. In general exercise is safe to do and can actually help to reduce the risk of lymphedema and help to manage it if you get it. Check with your healthcare team for any specific recommendations in your case.

My surgery is in February- when did you get back to exercising using light dumbbells? I am going in strong running 3days and strength 3days a week. After your last surgery when did you feel ready to get back to pre surgery exercise? I know my recovery will be different. You seem active, I am too, so I relate to your story a bit more. TY for your prep videos they are what I’ve been looking for too.

I’m planning a video coming up to detail the exercises that I did post-mastectomy from 0-6 weeks and 7-12 weeks. I figure there’s more active people out there who would be interested in this. I’m not sure I’ll have it done before your surgery in February. I started working out with bands at 1-2 weeks and lightweight at 2-3 weeks. This is obviously well before the general recommendations post-surgery. I was super cautious, only did movements that were 100% pain-free with no pulling at my incision sites. I also didn’t do any exercises that would activate my chest muscles.
