    Apart from the fact that I've learned best things from Andy, most important to me is Aussie humor. You guys deserve Fish Dundee title there Down Under. BTW bream makes a great tucker up here in Japan. Good day!

You deserve to be posted a Bream...If I can actually catch one that is ;) Check out 'CoastfishTV' on Facebook and share us around with your mates. I think Dizzy is single :)

    Dani Playz Hi Dani. You've got a great selection. If you're fishing shallow water or there is minimal current remember to go super light with your jigjeads. Also 4lb fluoro works wonders to entice a bite. If you're returning your fish back in the water return them in another spot otherwise the fish may go off the bite. Goodluck !

  • @CoastfishTV

    @CoastfishTV

    7 жыл бұрын

    Hi Jepoy, Dizzy uses inexpensive imported reels so I couldn't tell you the brand off hand. But he pays no more than about $50 he tells me. I know he doesn't mind the Pflueger Trion rod range. Even a Berkley Dropshot is within most people's budget. Nice lengthy rods really help ping those light lures out. Goodluck mate ;)

    I suspect anyone who has worked in design and marketing would learn to ignore most high pried products. Design is seldom done for improved quality, but for eye candy, and marketing's job is to sell the product to the public through advertising and sponsorships, even if the product has no better materials, and no more durability, than an older version, or even a version that costs a fourth as much. I know a charter boat captain, a good one with a recognizable name, who was paid partially by the company giving him a dozen three hundred dollar reels. He traded them even up for a dozen sixty dollar reels because long experience told him the sixty dollar reels worked better, and lasted a lot longer. I've talked to several charter boat captains wo hate very expensive rods because they break so easily. They use nothing but Ugly Stiks for any fish of a size ordinary rods can handle, which is truly huge for an Ugly Stik, because they say it's not only a great rod, but it's the only rod they can hand to a client, and be certain they'll get back in one piece. By and large, very expensive rods and reels, while they may be very good, are really meant to keep a company in business, not to give anyone the very best of anything. Let's face it, you only need so many ball bearings, but companies keep adding more and more just to say they have the most. Fishing well and successfully doesn't have to cost an arm, and a leg, and you shouldn't have to take out a loan to buy a high quality rod and reel. The good news is that you don't.
