I’d love to see 10 days jail time for each charge, served consecutively (total 340 days). Then despite their best efforts, it’s harder for whole GOP and right wing media circus to argue against excessive sentencing. Now as long as he was placed in prison whilst he appeals, it effectively means he is out of the Presidential race, as he wouldn’t be released until about June 2025 and even if he remained the candidate, only the true cultists would still vote for him whilst he is in a jail cell, and that’s simply not enough votes.

They tried to impeach Biden claiming he was corrupt, but the standard is high crimes/misdemeanors. So the point is you have to prove a high crime, whatever that is, or misdemeanors which Trump had a real problem wth. It's elementary. Yet even on appeal his arguments keep falling flat. He can’t, which means he can’t be president, yes there is technically nothing stopping him from still running (other than being locked up), but even if he did get elected, he can’t get security clearance, he won’t be able to ratify treaties, negotiate with foreign powers, essentially he won’t be able to do anything a president SHOULD do, rather he’d have to act through proxies, which would be a HUMILIATING situation for the United States of America. Think about it, the President is expected to attend an event alongside allied countries, like the D-Day anniversary, but because he’s locked up, some bureaucrat has to go in his place, THAT’S the humiliation awaiting the United States of America, should Trump become President.

He cant get top secret clearance while serving time or on probation. Likely would be allowed post sentence due to charges, if elected.

The whole state of New York is in cahoots with the lame judge and court in NY city. That kangaroo court there is a disgrace and the biased puppet jury of jacked up, hand picked jokers is pathetic.

One of my best friends growing up was pushed into admitting to a crime he did not commit or have anything to do with it all. He was broke never had any good chance in life. He had no money for an attorney and I saw the way they pushed him into confessing in the plea bargain deal yet he got a felony. It ruined him as a man. He always had to do hard labor jobs and never could he get a decent office job or something so physically demanding. Pushed him in the wrong direction in life I need is no longer with us. If he had a sliver of the resources and support Donald Trump had he would have gone on to be a very successful and happy man. I'm so sick of seeing this rich man get away with everything. Trump needs to be accountable for once in his damn life . Rest in peace Danny

That's a very sad story and unfortunately Danny will not be the only one with a similar story. I'm sorry to hear you lost a good friend this way. You only need to see the 'justice' system once. They never let you go, and there's nothing 'just' about it at all.

I believe that DA Bragg and Co has documented all of the violations and will use them as justification for the prison request.

When is he going to be told he can't hang around with other criminals?!?! There goes his cabinet picks .... Maybe his VP too.

My brothers, Brian and Glenn, actually help with my PTSD and overall mental health. As a retired U.S. Army Staff Sergeant, who swore to defend the United States Constitution against all enemies, I watch ya'lls every Legal Breakdown segments because I, like many Americans, want to see justice done against don the con, the orange stupid clown and demon who threatens the security of our great nation. It won't. Even if he's sentenced to prison, he'll stay free on appeal and given the option to cancel the prison sentence if he becomes president.

@@cennon As sick as it makes me, I agree with you. None of the judiciary has taken a hard-line stance with Trump. They all gave him warnings about what he would face if he disobeyed court instructions . . . . and Trump went ahead and disobeyed them. They then called him in and reiterated those warnings . . . . . and Trump went ahead and disobeyed them again. Then the Prosecutors begged the judges to impose some kind of penalty for the repeated infractions by Trump . . . . And a couple of judges decided to impose a few pathetically tiny monetary sanctions (which Trump would never pay himself). Not a single judge has had the intestinal fortitude to find Trump in contempt of court and send him to a jail cell (even for a short period) to ponder his continued belligerent behaviour. None of them treat him as they would any other defendant standing before them. But they pretend that they're being even-handed . . . . even though the world can see they are not.

Don’t hold your breath. He won’t EVER be sent to prison..ever. That’s how it is in the U.S. now.

I hope Judge Merchan puts him away for at least 4 yrs. ,that is for every conviction he has which is 34 😂😂😂blue 💙
