Being from the united states I've never understood why pl teams sack managers so quickly. I've supported Chelsea for 25 yrs so I know that's how it goes. But I feel like Chelsea fans treat their coaches and too many players like dirt. No loyalty, no patience. Just ruthless win or get out mentality. Fans have treated poch like shit. Like they're a bunch of Ceasars, holding up a hand to give a thumbs up or down. I really like poch, he absolutely deserves better than he got from this fanbase. Keep treating people like garbage and see where it gets you. Chelsea fans got their wish. The next manager won't last past Christmas. An absolute, deplorable fucking joke.

All we can hope is our players stay fit and full of hope and our new manager can integrate quickly someone that suits our team an play style but after this news after this sh*t season I think now I’m starting to lose hope 🙄

"We finally turned a corner". "Poch ball was working". If Solanke hadn't missed an open goal with a minute to play we'd have drawn 2-2 at home to Bournemouth with Europe on the line. We needed a late comeback to beat Forest. Yes we won 5 in a row, but let's not pretend we were steamrolling teams. We were marginally better at the end of the year than at the beginning, but it's debatable whether that was sufficient progress given the talent available. I would not have been upset had Poch stayed, but I'm not upset at him leaving. I trust the people who are making the decisions who know far more than I do about what standards Poch was told he'd be judged by.

In this case Boehly is not to blame. There's a reason why Egbali, Stewart and Winstanley are prominently being mentioned in most reports whilst Boehly has remained silent. Boehly recently backed the team and Poch's performance as well as took him out for a personal dinner prior to all of this. Boehly may be the public face but there's too many decision makers behind the scenes and something worrying is clearly brewing. I'm gutted to think that we ousted Poch because of disputes in player sales and wanting to keep our academy players. That's crazy to think that's one aspect a manager should have the ultimate say in. He wasn't asking for more players but fighting to keep the ones that we have. He simply wanted more say in players which is a fair ask. Surely we should all have a say in what resources we have available in our jobs, same applies here. We've just pushed out a manager who was trying to uphold the club's culture. Strangely enough he was the one person who understood what Chelsea is and Roman's vision, of having a brimming academy, is finally being realised. The club has now embraced Reece James as the undisputed club captain (rightfully or wrongfully), we've put him front and centre of the team yet it was Poch's decision in the first place; now it seems as if it was always destined to be. Fans and pundits alike were pining for Silva or someone more experienced to be captain yet Poch understood the long term vision. He was trying to develop a homegrown/English-oriented captaincy and hierarchy within the squad with James, Chilwell, Gallagher, Colwill and Chalobah being the lynchpins. For years we were mocked for solely having continental players now we're sacking a manager for wanting to establish a fundamentally English core. He's given debuts to Alfie Gilchrist, Michael Golding, Alex Matos, Josh Acheampong and Leo Castledine, in his first season, more than any other previous manager, under arguably the most tumultuous conditions. What makes this all the more disappointing is that previous years under Roman we felt as if every sacking was ultimately in order to course-correct, in this case it seems as if we're just steering ourselves into uncharted waters with many fighting for the wheel. Poch knew the league and now knew his team, whoever we get would need another adjustment period. Plus even then, what guarantees would have that he won't be sacked for a above-average season? The entire team wanted the manager to stay. Even under the great Tuchel, Conte and Mourinho we had players fall out with them, not with Poch. This is the odd occasion in our history where the team had more faith in the manager than the board. If anything the player's opinion should matter most as they are the ones who work with him daily. Players can never truly buy into a manager's tactics now because their opinion is not valued by the higher-ups. Eventually the players will develop their own "player power mentality" since the managers will be an ever revolving door whilst they're the constants. Poch developed into a father figure for this young crop, helping them develop their games. That's what Fergie did all too well. He may not have been the "winning-mentality" manager we needed long term but he was the right coach for right now. The next manager will be likely be stoic and cold because he'll be fighting for his job from day-one, no patience for these young lads, he'll get frustrated and leave, then the cycle continues again. Just gutted.

Have we suddenly forgotten how we want poch out from our club but because he manage to win five in a row lately we suddenly want him to stay, What took him time to change pattern when things where not working for the team. Poch is a failure and he can’t lead Chelsea to promise land, The owners and the club directors sees every mistakes Poch is making and they where counting on him to correct his mistakes but he keep making same mistake over and over but he later came up with something different when is late already which shows he’s an average manager, I’m so glad they sacked him and I want them to bring in De Zerbi because I see pep in that man which I believe he can make it happen De Zerbi is tactically sound and look smart as well unlike poch that look weak and scared on match game he’s always comfortable on the chair while his team is playing bad but only to give excuses after the game

Nah bro the moneyball coach was Potter. We set the club up quite literally as best we could for him and it failed. We cannot sign some ligue 2 nobody because three obscure metrics line up. We need experience, someone who knows what to do with the miss-match of players and what to do when the going gets tough. We can break down tactics but I absolutely believe a squad of this size, variety and quality needs a coach with the mental side, the psychological side down like an artform, think an Ancelotti-esque manager

owners have the right to do what they want. To them football is just business and players are assets to be invested and sold for profit. They don’t care about fan’s feelings. Fans owe the club no loyalty. But they also want to win - so the brand of Chelsea can sell. For that reason Chelsea fans can continue to watch if they enjoy watching beautiful football which can be assured with huge investments. I don’t miss Poche as recent wins are more due to Caisedo coming to form and Enzo injury which saw Palmer playing as number 10 and Mendekie coming in. Now there are four forwards and a true number 10.

The fact is this, Poch failed the objective of reaching higher table position required in his contract, but he did good at the end, but little too late to get the team klicking. The draws againts teams below Chelseas position contributed to his failure, because Poch is main culprite in getting results. Had he won those games, then he would still be Chelsea manager. Chelsea should get manager with winning pedigree like Flick and give him the players he wants to complete the rebuild to complete this young squad. If it means selling valuable assests like Gallagher and so on, so be it. The main point is that the Cobham has new and hungry young talent coming through. The players must step up to demanded level that is required to compete at highest level. Only one player had high enough level this season and that player is Palmer. Too many inconsistent players playing individually instead for the team, Gallagher included. That is all down to Poch. In the beginning playing players in off positions, insisting playing Sterling who was a liability and toxic selfish player, when he was expected to lead young players. Not using Maatsen other players when they were sooo good in preseason, like Maatsen, Mudryk and Santos. The Lavia injury fiasco was also Poch fault in bringing him into team and playing when he was clearly still injured. Not to mention weird tactical decisions all season. The simple fact is that Poch blew his chance and the results did not merite another season and mutual contract termination was the right and only solution. I reckon the next manager will ride on the growth this squad had and the new manager will implement his things and improve players into new levels. So stop wining. Be happy Poch got this Chelsea into some form at the end, it was just too late. Next season Chelsea will be better and stronger and more experienced and with a demanding manager this squad will elevate to anothee level. Abrahamovitch would have sacked Poch in to 5-10 games into the passed season. So why are anyone surprised Poch got sacked, he delivered nothing, but rollercoaster of mixed feelings and heart attacks. Personally i am happy he got let go, maybe the next manager has cohones to demand something out of this players and get some consistency and teamplay out of them? Silva is right about the fact that these kids need hardarse manager and not a father figure like Poch is. Flick the next manager hopefully.

This is my take 1. It’s bohely v eghbali and winstanley and Stewart 2. If Poch stays, these players would have more injuries - the second meeting with the SDs questioned him about the injuries. 3. They made their mind up time ago when ‘they stopped texting him’ 4. De Zerbi would be a good addition 5. They didn’t consult Poch on the specialist and Poch doesn’t understand why they hiring one when he has the specialists in his back room staff 6. CWC and the contract is an issue because can they rely on him. He isn’t a yes man so can they get him on board 7. These guys wants to sell Chalobah and Gallagher but Poch is against this. All in all these owners will frustrate you all even more. But Poch did not help his cause sometimes. Sad to see him go but could we win a title with him? I’m not sure we could have tbh

It’s embarrassing, Potter, Lampard and now Poch have basically left us. I don’t care how it’s being spun, this is reality. Owners and some fans are dragging us down by creating this negative environment. I’m sure we were on the up with Poch. We will have to wait and see but my feeling is digression purely because we lack continuity. But I’m more than open to be wrong. Poch was everything I wanted in a manager at Chelsea. Playing exciting attacking football with positive forward momentum. I really enjoyed seeing individual wing play again, defenders being taken on. Crashing the box with numbers. Seeing open field football where players are allowed to express themselves and stretch their legs. Being that little more open at the back to allow entertainment. Progressive footballing tactics with changing formation depending where the team is on the pitch. Not looking robotic. But what I really liked about Poch he was a very balanced self aware man who brought players and staff together. A positive influence to a young team. Someone who I could see players would enjoy coming to work for everyday. A manager that I could see us finally building with long term. A man of Aura and great feeling of his players and staff’s energy.
