Zlatan IS NOT one of the greatest players of the generation. He's most iconic moment is a bicycle kick in a meaningless game against England. He is a massive underachiever and not a team player. I'd choose around 15 strikers from the last 20 years over him

R9(Ronaldo Nazario) didn't win the Champion's league yet people have him as a Best striker, Totti a Legend of Rome that didn't even win the Champion's league.. Zlatan didn't win the Champion''s league yet he is one of the best strikers who conquered Juve,Inter,Barca,Milan, PSG. Even MLS with 50 goals in 1 season. Zlatan is literally the most unique strikers there will ever be. Lewandowski scores goals, Benzema scores goals, Suarez scores goals and can do much more too. What Zlatan did with a football is difficult to describe. I feel bad for the people always bad mouthing him while they haven't even watched his prime days in inter, juve, Ajax, 1st spell at Milan, even psg was decent. He had the best dribbling out of any striker in this generation, but people are too blind to see so. He had the chance to be the best striker of the generation, but unluckily was the second best. Anyone who roasts him for not having a ucl only looks at trophies and not at playing style, and happens to be a plastic fan

Spot On Haris. I can win a CL trophy on the bench! Zlatan has won 32 trophies often in clubs with a long trophie drought that he turned around. Also the silky feet, the elastico dribbling Kung fu style football never seen before and the most outrageous goals nobody could even imagine 🔥❤️❤️💪💪

Your analysis is spot on… Only Suarez was better than him … he’s second , Then Benzema, Aguero, Lewandowski

For me the best centre forward of his generation. Yes he might not score as much of a Lewandowski or Suarez but his longevity and his ability to pull off the stupendous is unparalleled. There is only one Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

It is not just the trophies or stats. His ability on the ball during his early days with Ajax, Inter and Juve were insane. The guy could dribble past players, score all sorts of goals, his passing was always underrated. The guy is one of the most complete strikers ever.

Fantastic Player, always played it fair, with heart and where money came secondary. I remember when he got that long term injury at Man Utd, he was out so long, he did not think it was fair for him to be paid for services he did not provide, or earn, so he forfeited his wages, as long as Utd gave 50% to charity. How many Footballers do you know, who have done that, or would do that. The magic he preformed on the football field is going to be missed and I wish him luck in his next new venture and I am sure whatever that is, he will be just as successful. Without doubt, one of the greatest Footballers to ever play the game.

There’s a great Ibra highlight video on YT. The amount of absolutely ridiculous goals he scored is incredible. Legendary player and character.

If u search for any player top 10 goals, zlatan wins. Hands down.

End of an era. Zlatan, Benzema, Ronaldo, Suarez and maybe Messi all leaving European football within the last year. Not to mention other players like Busquets, Alba, etc. Their generation is done and it's up to the new generations to carry the torch. Only a few top players left from the older generation still playing at high level. Lewandowski, Modric, Thiago Silva, Neuer are all nearing the end of their careers as well.

We are moving on from the era of legends and onto an era of teams.

Brings tears to my eyes. True Legend and showman. 👏

As a fellow Swede I’m proud to say Zlatan Ibrahimovic is with no doubt the best Swedish soccer player of all time and possibly the greatest Swedish professional athlete of all time.

The word iconic suits Zlatan perfectly , Man i've been watching him since Ajax, I remember the golden days of Joga Bonito with him and all the greats and playing for Barcelona, Man u, Inter, Milan and juventus is just a testament to his greatness, I loved how Milan used the Gladiator theme for his tribute he really was a unique

Ibra is one of the best strikers in the history of the sport, and that aint even a discussion, what an UNIQUE character and player, WOW, im fortunate to be from the same city as him and its just amazing how he managed to get as big as he got.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic simply had to call it a day. 41 years old about to be 42 in the next couple of months, age has finally caught up with him, he's dealt with so many injuries in the last 2 years, a player shouldn't be playing well past his peak and with this lion mentality even Zlatan himself had to retire to keep his legacy in tact. He was a generational player scoring over 500 goals throughout his career for club and country and did in on multiple clubs while winning so many trophies throughout his career expect for the champions league. He had nothing else to prove and it was time to retire. He played for clubs like Barcelona, PSG, AC Inter Milan, Manchester United, Juventus all of these top clubs without ever lifting the champions league, there have been multiple top players who have won the champions league and many legendary players have ended their careers without winning the entire champions league and it happens. Zlatan never won it throughout his career, he'll go down as a controversial figure in the game and someone with an elite mentality in front of goal too.
