Those words were about his time at PSG, but they fit his second spell at Milan as well. His comeback was the Return of the King. He brought Milan back to the top (at the age of 38, no less). And when he retired, he did it as a legend.

Indeed! AC Milan is really great for respecting Zlatan’s contribution to the team, even in an year when he wasn’t able to play that much! Zlatan is literally the most unique strikers there will ever be. Lewandowski scores goals, Benzema scores goals, Suarez scores goals and can do much more too. What Zlatan did with a football is difficult to describe. I feel bad for the people always bad mouthing him while they haven't even watched his prime days in inter, juve, Ajax, 1st spell at Milan, even psg was decent. He had the best dribbling out of any striker in this generation, but people are too blind to see so. He had the chance to be the best striker of the generation, but unluckily was the second best. Messi and Ronaldo and not to mention Lewandowski were usually just putting their foot or forehead after all the other people's work on the pitch. They were very dependent on having the very best around them in order to shine. But there is not a person on this earth who can say that about Zlatan. He could do everything (and everyone) with a ball. And what goals............. I wonder if I ever scored a regular and normal goal!! As a Swede I am so proud that Sweden had a player like Zlatan. He’ll be missed by many. 2013 when I was in Brazil, Novo Hamburgo RS, I went to a bar and the bar owner asked me if I liked football (no surprise in Brazil). I said I do like football and he asked me if Sweden had any great players. I answered: “We’ve got Zlatan Ibrahimović.” To my surprise the owner said that Zlatan is the best player in the world. I didn’t believed what I heard. A Brazilian that put Zlatan before every player from Brazil’s many clubs and excellent players. That ought to say a lot about his high standard.

I can't believe that he was left out of the Swedish team for the 2018 World Cup. Sweden looked average without him.

Cannot be easy being a footballer saying goodbye and hearing those chants one last time, and they’ll always echo.

I teared up watching this. He came to help out the veterans the first time and won us a scudetto. He then came back a second time, to help out the youngsters and won us another scudetto. I love you Zlatan and thank you for giving us such joy and hope ❤️

Man, normally I‘m not an emotional guy but this just made a grown ass man cry. I grew up watching Zlatan from his beginnings in Ajax up to this point and I loved his way of playing football, the way he represented himself with so much charisma and of course all the funny things he said. We‘ll never see a man like Zlatan in football again. But I‘m so grateful, that I had the privilege watching him doin his thing. He gave this Sport something special that only he was able to give. Thank you for over 20 years of incredible, beautiful and entertaining moments ❤
