Considering Wolverine's costume, there is a strong chance that it is. I don't get how they can F up comic book movies so badly, the source material is already created, bulld upon those ideas, or take some.

@@Solscapes.I get what you’re saying but I think it was THE MARVELS. And for the Ms. Marvel show, we didn’t see any Xmen. We found out Kamala has mutant genes and we heard the theme play. It’s just imo, but I think what you’re saying counts as well.

Knowing Feige, he likely means this is the start of the X-men playing a significant role in the MCU. Deadpool and Wolverine appears to focus heavily on the X-men universes. Professor X’s appearance in Multiverse of Madness was minor, and Beast was just a post-credit scene in the forgettable Marvels movie.

I have to agree between the Marvels post credit scene and what we are getting hints of from Deadpool and Wolverine. I really see as many of the early 2000s X-Men actors in comic book accurate costumes as a post credit or tie in to Secret Wars

Excited to see what they do with the X-men

The nostalgia of all the Xmen characters alone would've been enough for me, but to top it of by making them important in setting up the future of mutants in the MCU is SOOOO MUCH BETTER!! I hope they at least keep some of then until Secret Wars, to see them interact with the Avengers in a way that new actors portraying them can't compare. Also, would be amazing to get Hugh Jackman to "pass the mantle" of Wolverine on screen to whoever comes next!

I've said it before and I'll say it again nostalgia works unbelievably when it comes to the mcu putting their own stamp and spin on the X-Men they just need to translate as much as they can from X-Men 97 overtly live action as much as possible

There is no way they are setting this up to keep anyone from the original X-Men. Including Hugh Jackman. They’re going to put some kind of bow on the Fox X-Men & reboot the whole thing. The X-Men are too valuable a franchise to try and drag back in actors that won’t be able to play the characters in 10-15 years. I love Hugh as Wolverine but, I think this is his last go round. I’m not sure what they do with Ryan’s Deadpool though. They just might retire him for now. I believe you’ll see a whole new cast introduced & maybe not in this movie. But, you’ll probably see someone from the new cast introduced.
