I follow Marty on Facebook and he can get deep and emotional at times-then might delete those posts. Before I started following him on FB, someone told me that he’d adopted a sickly cat that he’d unsuccessfully tried to make better and the cat died; he was actually crying about it because it was like he’d lost his son. He has a cat that he refers to as the Wolf now...beautiful cat but I told him that he’d better keep that cat away from my bird lol!

You always hear "Live like there's no tomorrow"......but there is." One of the best quotes I've heard in awhile because it's not some bullshit "feel good about yourself and feed your ego" type of saying. It's a real quote about the real shit that can have a long lasting affect on your life and he is living proof of the reality of someone who has always lived "like there was no tomorrow."

I wrestled in a tag match at an indy show against Jannetty a few years back. The guy was super nice to me, but I had a hard time understanding what he was saying when he was telling me the finish. When he was laying out the bumping and feeding spot, he said he was "going to hit me with the boom, boom, boom" and I had no clue what he was meaning, lol. He thought I didn't want to do what he was suggesting and suggested another finish. I was like "No, the first finish is fine. I just didn't understand completely." lol I ended up assuming the "boom, boom, boom" were just clothesline or back elbow bumps. The match ended up fine and I took the super kick as the finish. He was supposed to come off the top with the fist after the super kick, but he just pinned me then and there after the kick. It was awesome and a really fun time. I hope you get your life back on track, Marty. You're a cool guy.

You know I was really, almost disgusted, by that angle that John Morrison and Miz had going a little while ago where it was all about proving who was the "Shawn Michaels" of the team and who was the "Marty Jannetty". They didn't even just mention it, they made it the absolute heart of the whole angle. It's like WWE completely disregarded everything that Jannetty has done, didn't think at all about how he would feel when he saw it, and just completely shitted over his entire career, (which was ended by injuries). It wasn't used for a Mania match or even a real important storyline of the year, they just used it so Miz and Morrison wouldn't have the typical "I'm better than you" feud going on. Thought that was a really shitty thing for WWE to do, and it made me dislike Miz (not in kayfabe, but actually as a student of the professional wrestling game and a performer and person overall) a whole helluva lot more.

Why weren't you offeneded when Marty Jannety broke a roookies neck or when Vince covered up for Snuka after he murdered his side chick? And as far as the Miz goes, what was he supposed to do, say no Vince I'm not doing that, I dont want to, it might offend this drug-addcit rambling B team pos? Hell maybe Vince did the angle AFTER marty embarrassed his goddamn self on this shoot interview. Grow up Malone

J A I really don’t think that Marty would have made a convincing heel. When he tagged with Al Snow as the New Rockers and I guess that they were supposed to be heels, Marty certainly didn’t convince me then. When I first met him and heard him speak for the first time, I thought of him as a cross between Wayne Campbell-from “Wayne’s World,” if he put on the cap-and Huckleberry Hound; I didn’t know that he had such a heavy Southern drawl....not that there’s anything wrong with that. It was just a bit unexpected. I had put out my hand to shake his and said hello and could I take a photo with him. So Marty had pulled me over and said, *Southern drawl* “C’mawn hunny gimme luvs.” Apparently that’s a Southern saying, I’d find out. I’d meet him at a number of events within the past three years, I can see that Marty has been affected by what’s happened to him through the years and he seems to want to keep his fans.

It's like watching your best friend get smashed at a party strip down to his skivvies and dance around with a lampshade on his head, it's funny for about three seconds and then you just want to take him aside and quietly explain to him that he needs to sober up a little because he's making an ass of himself.

Very sad to watch this interview with the former Midnight Rocker, for it reminds me of when Kevin Castle said that Scott Hall(in his ESPN interview) looked like he had one foot in the grave(until Scott went to DDP for help),which is the same thing to mention here upon how badly drugged up and boozed up Marty is in this interview. I hope he does eventually get himself some help(and some much-needed rehab).

Wow. I actually know a lot of people like this IRL. They're actually quite cool to talk to sometimes. Like in pubs if you get them just at the right time. Right before they've gone too far into their beer lol They have some stories man, but people think they're weirdos and dont talk to them and shit. They're lonely, but they're kind af and have some belters. We always buy them drinks in the locals man and listen to their funny stories. I know it looks BAD, but there's SOOO many people like this in so many local pubs here in the UK where I'm from. Give them the time of day.

Actually you're right the wwe (well hhh mostly) put this guy through rehab several times but didn't work. So yep DDP was the one who got him clean and healthy. I wish Marty would go to DDP's place and ask for help. Plus his body is physically completely wrecked from injury after permanent injury. Just hope he gets some sort of help because being in chronic constant pain is just horrible.
