It is really tiring to see the pettiness and the jealousy that all of these women in the WNBA have for CC is ridiculous. It is so blatantly obvious that she is jealous. It sickens me. When you see the men's game in the NBA, none of the brothers have problems for saying the Luka, Porzingas, and many other White and European players are excellent and adding the the over all game of basketball. But the women are all in their feelings and they can not give CC her due and her praise for being so classy and she is a great spokesperson to the WNBA. McNutt just a racist. Plain and simple. Sky are .5 game up having played a very soft first half of season schedule. Breanna Stewart made it pretty obvious that the other two (Reese and Cameron ) she prefers because they did not come out of the gate playing great. They came in and took time to “learn the WNBA” blah blah and got better. Like Donny Tarausi wanted Clark to have a “big learning “ curve. She predicted Clark would come in and struggle and “learn the WNBA” but struggle for a while playing with the big girls. Did not happen that way and pissed these “women/men” off because they could not just step in and play really well. Clark is top 20 in league in all major stats. Top in assists which is main job of her position. Reese kills it on rebounds (even if almost half -literally like 45%- are her own shots) but that is about it. Some commentator said something about Angels defense but she has fewer blocked shots than Clark and she is way taller than most the other players. It’s a joke.

Clark needs more work than Reese for the position that she plays. CC can’t handle the ball under pressure which is why she gets her pocket pocketed all the time. Her defense is atrocious to point where she can guard a parked care. Her lateral movement is horrible which is why forwards are driving past her.

Do you know it’s harder to maneuver in the paint because of all the bodies that’s camped in there? I was a PG, one of the quickest and I welcomed double and triple teaming because it left my teammates open. So what you’re saying has no merit. As a PG, you should know not to dribble into areas where you can be trapped. And you should never dribble the ball away from your body like CC does. This is how the girl in championship game kept taking the ball away from her, and now they’re doing the same in the W

I disagree You take a good player with good footwork and post abilities and they’ll get a shot off a lot easier than being double and tripled teamed. The problem is when that happens those open players need to come to the ball and not sit in the corner. One on one is much easier to overcome than getting double and triple teamed. Oh and Angel’s not getting guarded all the way up the court either.

@HvnBndKJV She’s getting doubled team off of screens. The reason why? Because she’s a turnover machine so you SHOULD trap her off of the screen since she keeps giving the defense the ball. The problem is that she can’t create her own shot on elite defenders. She’s not good enough to create iso points which is why there’s sleek this narrative that exist only with her that her teammates aren’t helping her get open. She’s limited and predictable. She can’t dribble left at all but she can only shoot going left. Watch the film. She can dribble right but she can’t shoot and won’t shoot a jumper going right. Watch the film. She brings the double team on herself by needing screens and not knowing how to make the defense pay for the double. She rewards it with the most turnovers in history.

I’ve been watching her since Iowa. She can create and that’s why they’re double and triple teaming her. I have an idea, no team ever double and triple team her again the rest of the year and I guarantee you she’ll light it up as she did at Iowa. I agree there are some elite guards in the league but very few and I still believe if the officiating were equal on both ends she’ll still put up greater numbers. She’s the most complete player in the league and they ALL know it. Matter of fact coaches in the league and even some players have admitted they prepare their defensive strategy around her

@ransom6892 ok. I apologize. I misunderstood what you were trying to point out and thought you were one of these people that try to downplay her stats. And I do agree on the turnovers. I know a good percentage of her turnovers are from missed or bumbled passes because I don't think her teammates are quite used to having someone pass the ball the way she does. If she took less risk with her passes, then she wouldn't have as many turnovers. But then, IMO, that would be like trying to tell a prime Bird or Magic to tone down their game.

The WNBA fan looks at Reese next to CC in the same way that the house buyer looks at the tool shed next to the house.

McNutty and the Andrea Carter denied both which unless you can’t see is clearly obvious. Last night’s Seattle v Chicago game had 11 thousand people. The Seattle v Indiana game was standing room. Chicagos largest crowd was v Indiana. Two of the fever games had to be moved to larger venues..las Vegas and Washington. The hard fouls have gone way down mainly because her teammates are fighting back and other vets around the league have let it be known..the BS is hurting the game and needed to stop. All sports analysts are biased to a degree. Their job is to take statistical data and deduce a hypothesis based on their personal experience. It's the reason there are many different opinions regarding any given subject. The reason Monica is said to be too biased is due to lack of respect for female commentators. 😅 For example...you would never complain that Barkley or Shaq are overly biased and that they should be fired....even though they seldom agree. She's an awkward lumbering truck when she plays, she has zero finesse, she can only make easy layups and many of her rebounds come from her own missed shots! If it weren't for Clark, Reese would disappear in obscurity and anonymity!

Caitlin Clark, including the 2024 draft class, is why the WNBA, is more popular and attracting new fans, having increased viewership, better TV ratings and sellout arenas! Without this 2024 draft class, the WNBA would be irrelevant, as usual, and no one would be watching this league! I believe Caitlin Clark, will win Rookie of the Year and possibly MVP of the Year, too!
