Reese is a good triple dribbler though, that footage is fun! And about 1 out of every 6 rebounds she gets are from her own misses. Reese’s double doubles are points and rebounds. The league currently has racked up 138 of them this year. Caitlyn’s double doubles are points and ASSISTS. The league has 16 I think. And triple doubles are currently at 3 league wide. I’m not taking anything away from Angel. I’m just pointing out that all statistics are not equally rare, nor do they equally showcase the impact on the game. Players own missed bucket rebound shots go into the rebound score, so a player shooting sloppy in the paint can rack up a rebound per shot. Again, not taking anything from Angel. She hassles and deserves all the praise she is getting . She is going to be a dominant player over the next decade.and I think it is important if you miss the basket, be there fighting to get the ball and put it in. But I don’t want anyone criticizing her when she no longer makes her double doubles in a game because, hopefully, she will eventually cleans up those shots. If we take away the rebounds she gets from her own bad shot from under the basket and re-tips the ball into the basket, her rebound stats drop more than half. I think it’s worth looking at how all of the other players are making those rebounds. I dont think needing a double touch to get a basket should quailfy toward something we would want to celebrate. Does it count against your shooting percentage?

Clark had 17 triple-doubles in her college career at Iowa -- and the Hawkeyes won all those games. This legacy because of her amazing talent looks will continue in the WNBA.

If double doubles are so impactful , one has to wonder why WNBA COACHES DO NOTHING ( ie double cover) to prevent them. Coaches/ teams need to win games to keep their jobs. So one would think coaches would adjust their defense to maximize their chances to win.

My most favorite NBA player was Michael Jordan, I didn’t know what color he was and I just knew that he was the most confident athlete I had ever watched…. He used people’s negativity towards him as fuel… and it truly showed. M.J. Kept it about basketball as he should have.
