I know this was made over 3yrs ago but I still come back to it for reference. Just fyi for everyone out there, LC did make a Pointer 95 that is silent. If you think the 78 is too small and want a bait that’s closer to that 100 size, go for the 95. I found a few at a small thrift store but I noticed they’re also on the LC website.

Awesome vid! Extremely informative. Great topic. I've always wondered about the differences between the various lucky craft line of jerkbaits. Pointer 100 sp American Shad is my all time favorite. I have a bunch of Staysee 90s, but really never figured out how to fish them effectively and now I know why. Thanks for posting. Really appreciate it.

On the west coast for saltwater we have 2 more that are must haves! The LC flash minnow 110 is a surf fishing legend and the DD100 is a salt water bass assassin.

Great video. Been playing with jerk baits more in grass with the LV500 and it’s been a great combo to clean up some fish that didn’t commit to the LV.

Pointer 78 and 78XD, staysee 90 are my favorite Lucky Craft jerkbaits. Megabass 110, trick darter 80 and shading 75 are my favorite Megabass jerkbaits. Slender pointer and the LC spazz are also great baits

I have a pointer 128, American shad. Was impossible to find a second one, so I rarely used, only in snag free waters. Excellent lure.

Man, I love this video. Last year I really got on board with all the LC jerkbaits and as much as I love the MB vision 110, I prefer LC pointers and staycee 90. Not only are they really easier on the wallet, I think let’s anglers throw them and so fish may not see it as much as megabass jerkbait.

Funny! 35 years ago I attended a bass seminar where the presenter said the first thing a bass fisherman should buy is a shed, where they can store all the tackle they’re going to buy.

I just bought about a dozen lightning pointer 98XR. Have you ever used this specific type of lucky craft? I bought them for around $9-10 ea. which I thought was pretty low for a JDM bait.

really informative for me. Thank you. Wish LC wasn't so elusive these days. Paying a net $40-$60 ea from Japan kinda has taken the attraction (haha.. fun-nee) from even using them. Did the mfg have issues and had to cut back on US market?

I’m just getting into jerkbait fishing and looking at the Lucky Crafts. I do a lot of bank fishing and the water I fish usually is stained to clearish can get pretty dirty but what baits would you suggest?

Got a couple Lucky Crafts from Ollies but there was no model names on the package what so ever. My fav jerk bait ever but I don't know what model to re buy.

I have a pointer sp that is 31/4 inches (just the bait) with the bill is not quite 4 is this the 78 or 100

Hi, you're professional, i bought pointer100sp from ebay and another sellers and i dropped in a bucket the lures has floating same low floating lures in your opinion this is normalfor suspending lures ,yours pointer100sp its floating to? Thanks

I was thinking the same thing. Action was a little different , but ghost minnow when the big river in central P.A. cleared up in the summer .

Far superior to the megabass in my opinion. Way more durable; better hooks
