When the very 1st aircraft came out, i guarantee you everyone thought "ull never be able to balance this right and this type of model will constantly be back and forth between useful and useless" And theyve been right since that day
Aircraft. The one model that makes everyone groan when they see it

@@evowoods5487ignore him people would always rather have more people to play with, aircraft r valid
The lame thing about Hover is they are still OC0. Would be nice if they could at least gain OC1 *Cries in Valkyrie*
Good info. One personal note... Usually I'm watching on mobile and a lot of the time the TTS stuff looks like a bunch of dark silhouettes on dark terrain. Back in the day your 9th edition tutorials were a lot easier to see and distinguish. Just my two cents. Appreciate all the good info!

Great feedback, thanks! I tried to choose a bright map so things would contrast a little but I could see how the terrain would obscure the minis. Will try to improve for next time.
I wish hover was just standard on all aircraft, and if they wanted an aircraft style rule, to make some mechanical advantage for it arriving so late. Right now hover just seems superior if available. Then all aircraft would just be "balanced" as vehicles with fly and high movement.
i am sad i love aircrafts but damn why cant they just make good rules for them

Because, people will spam the living daylights out of them. GW hasn’t learned to make rule set for casual and tournament play yet.

They have been good multiple times in the past. The problem is the fact that they move so far and how they los makes it so they're either broken op or useless. There's no in between

@@Wes-xk6hl Honest question here, how should the play testers and the rule makers; help craft rules that makes sense. I feel that 40K has been predominantly a ground focused game, because the game designers refuse to give a darn to the flyers. Yes, you can have the models; but you can’t use them.

@@Scout703 well I think you just have to accept that the game (unless significantly changed) has certain factors that disqualify certain things no matter how much u want them to be a thing. And not accepting that just causes trouble you can't rectify no matter how hard u try For example, the game field is only so large. And that is a defined size. Everything about it relies on people not being able to go wherever they want or shoot at whatever they want. Wonder why indirect fire is always weird and janky? Same reason aircraft is weird and janky And there's nothing u can do about that. By definition, setting rules means u will have certain factors u simply have to accept as limiting factors when designing things to use those rules The issue with 40k has always been that the designers don't seem to have a good grasp of what those factors are or which ones they're creating when changing rules
Very informative, is there on of these for Titanic?
Still kinda confused, but that’s the nature of the beast. “Keep it classy”…is a classy way to end your videos, and a good reminder. Thanks for your classes.
Never really use aircraft in my lists never felt right in a game of 40k

Gunships do. Like an apache helicopter irl. Hover mode is how all aircraft should be.
I have 1 question: how works the weapons?? Only can fire to enemy units in the front?
@jamesbanks4502

They fire like any other unit; any direction.
So if a unit of infantry on 25mm bases surrounded a friendly aircraft they could never be based by non-fly enemy models? That's kinda mad.
@TacticalTortoise

Yeah; but they could still be engaged normally

Not that complicated, but definitely not as slick as the rest of the core rules. The game still uses LoS - the worst rule in the game.

i would fire any gamedev that comes with tlos in my game xD one of the worst rules imo. Also if we had no tlos mechanics we could play with flat terrain at tournament lvl for clean gameplay.

@@captainfigureen9324 Fuck 2D terrain in the ass with a barbed wire - results in the worst-looking game tables, and is why warmachine was historically one of the worst games to spectate. (MK4 changed that, thankfully)
