One night in 2010 I was changing the TV channels when I heard a bit of Pastor Joel and I fall in love with the sermon, ever since then I hear 3 or more sermons a day. In Nov 2020 I stopped watching the sermons for 3 years because I got mad at God and for bad mouthing Pastor Joel's sermons but I always kept God'ssermons in my soul. Today I started watching God's voice through Joel's sermons again and this time I'm letting anyone and anything stop me from listening to God's voice through Pastor Joel's sermons. He really is. He hears the message and does a good job interpreting it for everyone else, including myself. I always talk about the same subjects and within days, a new video gets released and he talks about the same things with material that I missed.

@@megen3698 YES. What I like is he gets it ALL IN THERE in less than 30 MINUTES. It is never boring, or "preachy." He uses real life examples from his own life, or from a biblical references, and always makes it pertinent to his theme or subject.

Hi Jenifer, I like Joel Osteens message regarding how I have to get rid of people that are Manipulative, unfortunately I live with my sister who pays the rent, and my brother in law that pays the car. They use me, and abuse me...I fact my sister s husband hurt me, cause he was full of rage and anger, and full of rage. These people in my life, do not want me to serve god and do his will, because of their fears, and having no trust in god. Pray that god will provide a new family for me and my nephew, that can provide a better environment for us.

I really thank God on this day, October 31st 2023 to be able to hear Pastor Joel Osteen. This beautiful message hit home for me because my mother coming up as a child would always speak negativity and do witchcraft against me with her actions and her prophetic words. Every time I wanted to go into school and better myself always tell me I wasn't pretty enough I wasn't good enough I wasn't thin enough. I was so glad once I got to be 21 years old. I broke the tides and as I start getting into myself and meeting other people, it taught me the word of God and that I didn't have to depend her nor deal with anymore abuse and put downs. That naturally she became angered and jealous by it. Finally it came to 1997 where I said I had enough and I wasn't going to communicate anymore and I never looked back I do not call none of that because I'm tired I still deal with the emotional trauma from the abuse that I didn't realize all of that toxic is poisonous to your your mental and spiritual health!?😢😮🤪🤯🤷🏼‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

The people I'm dealing with invade my life, in every area, not by my choice or relationship with them. I've even become isolated, as Jesus gave me a Word about John on Patmos, as a current solution, & i'm still being invaded, harassed, with a long term hazing. I've prayed & prayed, & have been given Words about people against me, with wrong judgements, wrong spirit of attack. I do not choose these people. It began decades ago, with support groups & church, etc, I long since left. That is the whole problem. I've not been free to move on with my life. They have aggressively invaded my life with harassment, indirectly, that began back then, but no longer even identify themselves. It is evident by the harassment, not by individuals I can rid myself of. I do see Jesus with me, giving me peace, joy, hope, etc. So in isolation, I have a life separate from it. But only in isolation. God has shown me to fight it & confront. So I have hope of His help. But I wish it had been so simple to just walk away from aggressive, life invading, harassing bullies, who have wrong beliefs against me, & do not honor God as my Healer. I'm thankful for perfect miracle Bible based Word answers to prayer about it, that deflate all the power of it emotionally/ mentally. But I am not free to live free of aggressive life interference, & it has nothing to do with my current choices. @@user-px2mu1rd5b

Jesus has allowed me a stunning miracle with prayer, for going on 25 years now, where I pray for help/ guidance, & then read a Word in a Bible based resource, including life application books, & I happen to find immediately an answer matching the exact, specific content of my prayer. So I see Jesus with me in this, & there is no better answer. He has made great promises to me, despite this long term hardship, of what will folllow & what He is doing. I use to watch Joel every Sunday but lost track. I was looking for positive messages for my sister who is depressed. I not only shared this with her but I wound up listening to the whole sermon. This was really good. I enjoyed it so much as I was going through some similarities. He reminded me of taking care of myself first without guilt or judgement. Thank you Joel

My dad abused my mom when I was younger as I got older he wished to control me. After he realized he couldn’t control me he began to be more and more hateful of me to the point he won’t speak to me. I reached out to him one last time he ignored me. From that point on I decided to let go and move on. My sisters complain to me this day of how draining it is to try to keep happy they just don’t have enough courage to tell him. God has helped me be strong and be a great dad to my three boys.ALL GLORY TO GOD ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I admit that I read a daily devotional for the issues

This is the way this man sees the sick who hope the people they love will show they care - call, visit when they know their loved one has been abandoned by the world and experiences the worst illness of their life - as manipulative, an obstacle to be ignored. But Jesus blessed those He says visited Him when He was ill. Martin Luther said "let goods and kindred go; this mortal life also." Learning the necessity of what Luther said is a sad lesson at the hardest time, but Joel is right that God is always extraordinary and can even heal the necessary pain of being abandoned by those you counted on. After all, God will be with us on the journey from this life; they won't. And He will, if He heals us at that point, expect us, perhaps, to draw the line and let those people go.

Amen it's so true sometimes we let people use us too much especially family and friends and when we need them they are not there for us speaking from life experience but as am getting closer to God I try not to let people use me because am too nice but on the other hand people are sometimes mean to me especially family but as long as my God keep me going I will be ok thank you God for never leaving my side Amen 🙏🙌

Pastor Joel😭 two days ago, I started listening to your podcast. My heart leaps for joy whenever I listen to your podcast like I found a gold. I can listen to a podcast 5 times and still laugh at the same joke. I never knew the joy I got from the very first day was because the Lord through you was going to break me free from control today (I wish I could share my journal for you to see my conversations with God). I need to do what’s right and get away from the manipulation and people who have been placating me and “controlling” and “manipulating” me. It’s overwhelming and heartbreaking, I feel like doomed Ill never be able to escape my problems and move. 😭🤦🏻‍♂️🙏

In apt bldg w/older ones-I drove 3 people in particular to help them until my back issue went into my leg & very painful that it took all I had to just get go 4 my groceries, but I asked if they needed anything or wanted a ride. Then my car(25 yr old) broke down 4 the last time...kept getting asked when car will be fixed. I knew it wasn't bc of my inconveince-but theirs! I couldn't walk 2 store(a 2 min drive), bc of pain, so the one person who could walk is who I asked to pick up a few basic necessities (VERY hard 4 me to ask-but she did help & am very thankful. After hearing this sermon a few times, I knew what Pastor Joel said had been true of me-ALWAYS feeling 'I'm the one who is here to help others' & has been very hard to ask or accept help (I NEED greatly, as I haven't been able to keep up w/paperwork or cleaning to point I feel guilt/shame for anyone to see my apt...so, I need prayer to be able to accept help...God did not cause my shame, I allowed it- BUT NO MORE IN JESUS NAME!

Controlling, manipulating spirits, that's right! Time for me to break free!☺️
