Skillet sounds different every album. Have you even heard Gasoline, or do you just listen to their new stuff? Skillet has been around for 2 decades. When they started, they were just a group of misfits from different bands from different genres that got together and started up a side-project, though honestly they didn't like being referred to as a frying pan. Also, they didn't even have the technology to do what they do today. However while the older albums had unexpected raw emotion, the newer ones are more mature and more controlled. You can hardly recognize Seraph's former vocalist John's voice after all these years. As much as I like Skillet, please don't compare them to Breaking Benjamin's consistency and darkness. This band holds a special place in some deep crevice of my heart. Across 5 and a half albums I remain impressed by his resilience. Even with a new line-up bringing something interesting to the table, new technology becoming available, and a high demand for bands to change their sound for the sake of popularity, Benjamin has been a solid rock not only in his own band, but also within the influences of other musicians, such as those in Red, as well as Adam Gontier. If you know what Breaking Benjamin sounds like, you know a Breaking Benjamin song when you hear one.

They aren't too professional based on their theft of lyrics and the syntex. Also, Ben did fire their group members based on them releasing a song. It's just entertainment not based on the moral principals which most of the time they try to preach through their music.

I read about the firing and a shadow of a flag was raised (I mean, the WHOLE band ended up leaving Ben!) but without more details (ones we'll probably never get), I can't be sure Ben/BB as a band entity can be blamed. (After all, the music is intellectual property, and firing by email is perhaps not ideal, but, depending on actual circumstance, it may have been the best way to go about it.)

@@saga2964 It's not specifically direct but others got fired probably because of creative freedom. Every time I hear Ben in interviews about song writing, he often emphasizes having full creative control in composition. There was one interview, I forgot what, but he said he wanted full control so that their material doesn't change and we get the same Breaking Benjamin experience.

@@saga2964 Not sure but he probably meant inspiration (of tunes, chord progression, etc..) from other artists, which is literally prevalent in all forms of art. All bands in this genre have similarities, hence being in the same genre.

This is the music we need to get on the Billboard Hot 100. Breaking Benjamin managed to get Failure on the chart for 1 week back in april at number 80, which isn't much at all in the grand scheme of things. If we as BB fans come together we can get this baby to chart!!! LET'S DO IT!!!!!!!!!

It's usually a mixed bag, some good, some average, some bad. Right now that seems to really be the case. If we as BB fans could get this song to chart even at number 100 that would be cool... but imagine cracking the top 50!! BB hasn't done that since I Will Not Bow managed to hit 40

I know this might get lost in the comments, but my friend took his own life 06/14/16... I used to blame myself for it and the last memory we had together was singing karaoke together. We sang Jumper by 3rd eye blind... It was such a beautiful memory, but I had no idea how real it would be and if I knew that the song would be that genuine, I would have done something.. I wish every day I could have done something but I know deep down there isn't anything I could have done. He was a big Breaking Benjamin fan and so am I. Whenever I hear this song I think of how he fell, an angel, who could have been so much more. I try each day to be a good person and live life for him and myself. We have to make things worth it.

Could be. But if you look at it in religious way. You can see that the dark side aka the devil is pulling him in and hes trying to fight but he cant do it on his own. Because in order to fight the devil you need god. But he tried himself and when he said dark remains that means he lost the fight. And the devil took him over.

Man i can only imagine how humble that man is there and has ever person in that singing with him and he even sing lower in some parts it just gives me goosebumps. And with slipknot he has tbe whole crown get down like everyone and they had some of the biggest and best views of 80,000 plus people jumping together as one organisom

My cousin passed away this past weekend, I only had the blessing of having him in my life for a year. This song is one of the few things helping me right now. “When all is lost and daylight ends, I’ll carry you and we will live forever” One day we will be together Kevin, and we will live forever. I miss you so much. ❤️

I love, love, love this song. I agree. The song was already beyond awesome and with this video, the song has been raised to an amazingly higher lever. I was tearing up towards the end. I love how Breaking Benjamin can and does, strike or connect to such a deep place inside of you. Perhaps even a part of you that in a way even you, yourself were not aware of that part of yourself.

Beautiful song .... makes me cry and smile at the same time ❤

I cried so hard listening to this song when i woke up from my coma. I couldn't breathe or move anything and all i could ever hear was the oxygen machine pumping air into me. Finally i got some headphones and listened to this song first thing when I woke up. I cried so hard.

I think Benjamin is a beautiful soul. I'm nearly 20 and I've been listening to BB since I was in 8th grade. The obsession is so real it's crazy.

They are my favorite band, POWERFUL songs, his voice is amazing, his clarity of words. I can listen to their music over and over and never be tired of it.. KEEP going Benjamin.

It's a holy struggle but he doesn't want to give up on his loves, family, parents, etc. Their ship maybe sinking but when all is lost he will carry them through.
