I’m on the keto diet

My wife bought me a Blackstone for last Christmas. This is very informative. Especially the scrambled eggs. Now my outdoor kitchen is complete. Slo-smoker, three burner propane stove, gas grill and now a flat top. I live in Phoenix so cooking outdoors is a way to keep the heat out of the house. Besides, it drives the neighbors nuts.

Sounds like you have a great set up there!

My mom used to put all the bacon and hamburger grease in a Crisco can. And I can't tell you how many times she would take a tablespoon of that hardened grease and plop it in her red bean chili, or spaghetti sauce or meatloaf mix. It made just about everything that much tastier.

We've used this griddler for a variety of items including steak, fish, vegetables kzread.infoUgkxMcXT6_MuT0hB3ejyGQQHaeof9bwoWPUf and mushrooms and it's been great! Gets that great smokey flavor when using high heat or sear. The grill works amazingly simple and very low smoke for what it is. Heat gets up fairly quick, especially on closed position. The griddler side is fairly simple, better for eggs and pancakes rather than any cooking. Use the flat plates with the grill side if needed.Cleanup is easy and having heat on both sides is great for cooking a large amount or panini press.This definitely gets hot though so be careful with the sides.

I have been making something very similar for 35 years. I use Italian seasoning and garlic powder with the potatoes and after plating top with sour cream and salsa. Has been my 2nd favourite brunch for the whole 35yrs

LOl, he really does and yes this is perfect for camping, everyone in the campground will be there for this!!

This is very similar to a dish I call a reverse omelette. The eggs are incorporated into the “stuffing” instead of the reverse. I then top it with a drizzle of Chic-fil-a sauce. The smokiness of the sauce is absolutely delicious!

Looks like a great way to start the day!

We love to do fried cabbage on our Blackstone. We cook 1 head cabbage diced, 1 onion diced, 1 bell pepper diced, 3 cloves fresh garlic diced, 1 pack bacon chopped , 1 pack smoked sausage sliced up. When all that’s cooked, add 1 can whole kernel corn, drained and 1 can of diced tomatoes. It’s SO GOOD; sometimes I’ll even dice a sweet potato up and cook it with my veggies.

Obligots!!! That is what we call what you just made! In the late 1980s and 1990s we were members of a yacht club in the Bay Area of Northern California and At get together guys would bring their grills and big griddles and would cook this exact dish for all the group! We ended up sharing it with our MG car club in the early 2000s, then with our Horse trail riders club in mid 2000s! The man behind this recipe and it's peculiar name of Obligots was the late Joe Dushanes. He started a wonderful tradition that years later is enjoyed by so many! We're long since retired from our boating, driving and riding clubs, but the grandkids still enjoy Papa making Obligots on special occasions, the ONE thing that makes it better? Some homemade sausage gravy! Now THATS a meal!!

Never heard it called that and that is very interesting. I Love Breakfast bowls and decided to just throw some stuff together and this is what it turned out like and it is SO GOOD!!!

One of my favorite breakfast meals. I make this often on the stove, but bought a 22" BS a week ago and made it on the griddle a couple of days ago. It came out great and was a whole lot easier to clean up than in the kitchen. The wife says we should only have this once a week though. Thanks for a great video and I picked up some good tips from you. Ron

You're right, using this is so much better and easier the anything in the kitchen. This recipe really is good and you can make it different each time with a different seasoning or swapping a few ingredients. So glad to hear you liked it, thanks for letting us know.

I like my bacon about medium with enough stability and not flimsy. But I do love at least one of the almost burnt piece. Thanks for the tips in the video. I just recently got my first cook in on my Blackstone.

That’s what my family calls River Breakfast. Great to feed a lot of us camping. We add chopped cabbage to ours and let it cook down towards the end of the cook. Try it!
