Jordan Peterson never says: "later becomes never", on the contrary, he indicated the multiple bad things from waiting too much, but always encourage people to start at some point, no matter where you are at. You are denigrating Dr Jordan Peterson name by doing it.

I suspect that a lot of his fame is due to the fact that he's released most of his stuff on the web for free, to be edited by others into useful chunks, that spread his videos far and wide. That, and he's bloody brilliant.

It’s truly tragic that because he represents so much good that people feel the need to make him out to be what he is not. The recent article making him out to be a dummy who uses intellectual fluff to sound profound is ridiculous. This is a man who simply speaks right over the heads of people who are unwilling to listen. God bless Jordan Peterson 🙏🏻

@@JoMagic-ny8zu give them prizes for their efforts. That's it. They are kids don't pressure them or humiliate them, be a rock of peace and dedication, and once in a while show them people that went off the rails. But remember that they have to fail and to recognize value on themselves, leave room for it. A sport, judo or chess is good for discipline and focus. Also, teach them that some opportunities don't come twice, and that they are young but they won't be treated as kids forever and their parents won't last forever, and they will be left alone if they don't build a future with solid relationships and projects. Also, tell them to play life like a game, not as if there are no hard consequences but to optimize for the best results with the least amount of investment. Be their friend man, not having a father is hard, sometimes people only learn value in its absence, maybe they need a taste. They need to respect you, give them your job and problems and tell them to solve them, or show them why being a resonsible stable salary man is the hardest and most valuable way. They have a diet of tv series promoting loser criminals as if they were the shit (marxist lumpenproletariat worship). Yeah, teach them how the tv is a brainwashing propaganda instrument. You can also show them your cool sides or make them join you in the pursuit of a cool project like building something mechanical or electronic. So many ways. Boys are like dogs, they need a dominant pack leader otherwise they start getting nervous and defiant.

I'm 26 years old. When I was 14 I was offered an internship with NASA JPL out of high school. My dad declined because "science" not a field that would not provide me with a stable job. So my dad thought... When I turned 17 I decided I wanted to teach English... Come the age of 19, I was offered my first job teaching English in Japan. I declined because I wanted my dad to approve of me. He didn't think it was worth it. Again i set my sights on a new field.. 3 years of hard work led me to a relocation job in Mexico with great pay... again I declined because my dad thought it would be stupid.... I sit here now... lost... I don't know what I want to do... i dropped out of college because I went to for everybody but myself. Though I don't think its too late for me to go back. I can't go back without a clear vision. I've lost any passion towards Science... Cooking... English Teaching... I always felt I needed to prove myself to my dad... I'm constantly stuck thinking about what my life would have been like had I taken the JPL internship. Had I taken that English job... had I gone to Mexico.... Jordan you said nobody knows me better than myself.. and you are right. I should have taken the chance... I tried rationalizing my fear but I sit here now... realizing that my fear wasn't to fail... my fear wasn't to be stranded in a foreign country... my fear wasn't to be making little to no money as an intern... my fear was being rejected by my parents because of my life decisions... I know myself better than my parents ever will. They will learn to respect me though the decisions I make they may not agree with.... How can I influence people around me for the better, when I myself am stuck in inner turmoil... Thanks JP. You've opened my mind...

I wish I could have heard of Jordan Peterson earlier in my life. I'm doing well financially at 34 but I can only imagine what my life could have been personally and mentally. At least now, I can help my 6yr old son go down a better path then the one I felt compelled to fallow.

I'm 27 and I feel the same way, I failed in college for 3 years. I had no purpose. Then I decided I wanted to make 3D models for video games. It inspired me to be creative, so I went to a technical college and did better than I ever have in school before. It felt good to do something that I genuinely liked and made me want to get up in the morning. Now I'm trying to find a job in this field. Its very competitive and listening to Jordan is making me realize I need to work harder than I ever have, I need a challenge...but sitting around blaming that I'm not good enough to get in this field isn't good enough. So slowly but surely Im asking the world for what I want. I know I will get there. I hope you have a good life and same with your son.

I don't know why I keep on going back to habits that I know are bad for me, habits that bear no fruit. I'm now 34 and kinda freaking out. When will the pain and suffering that I cause to myseld end? When will I learn to live my truth and do what I need to do to live a peaceful life. A life that has meaning. I just can't keep making the same mistakes. It hurts.

I stumbled across Jordan Peterson while listening to motivational videos. I know listening to videos who knew. About the same time my marriage ended, had to sale my home, no longer coming home to my kids every night. This had happened before about 2 years prior. I’m a recovering drug addict and alcoholic I relapsed two years ago in part because I couldn’t handle my family falling apart. This time after my second rehab and a desire to stay alive I decided I was going to face this and carry my responsibility as a father. Listening to Jordan has given my some much needed guidance. Just with my co-workers I realize that I can strive for good regardless of my current situation and I can pick up the heaviest thing I can and carry it and try to be a light to the world. I listen to everything I can get my hands on I will just listen over and over. I don’t fully understand how it works but it has helped me so much I have managed to stay sober, get through my divorce, buy a house, I try to view my job as positive and try to have some gratitude for what I do have and in some part Jordan’s lectures have helped me do that

My advice is read his book, 12 Rules for Life. I'm halfway through it and it has been nothing but self-reflection, improvement and gaining new ideas and perspectives. Highly recommended. If you find that you don't have the time to sit down and read, download Audible and listen to it. Dr.Peterson himself narrates it which makes it very enjoyable to listen to! I listen to it while I'm driving and it's great. I wish you all the best in your voyage through life.

All the thousands of young men, fermented in a world quick to nail you to a cross for anything remotely resembling a genuine or original act, who faced the toughest early years of molding and intellectual seeding without anything that might even resemble an honest father figure who could even accidentally string together a few bold words close enough to render them of any sort of fathomed moral worth remembering, let alone thrown up somewhere high enough for a young man to take aim upon and stumble toward a right way forward.. cant help but think of the endless lives saved by this man.. truly a shining diamond

Loved that too and it resonates with my own experience. The worse my life is, the more I get filled with a sense of overpowering dread when I zoom out and look at distant past and future. The only way out of the worst suffering is to zoom all the way in to one breath at a time.

Id like to point out to all the people thanking Robert for bringing you out of darkness. Robert is inspirational… he speaks wisely and intelligently. He simply provided you with the information and insight. You’re the one who painfully applied his teachings… you’re the one who embraced life, Youre the one who broke down his lectures and books. Give yourself credit…You earned it.

His book 12 rules for life is a must read. Very thought provoking and so many things said so truthfully that you dont notice or think about in everyday life but after reading the book you think about things differently and become more considerate, understanding and aware of everything going on. Sure you cant fix everything but you can always do something.
