I think they just need to go back to basics. It's one of those deep structural issues that can't be fixed overnight. However when it comes to just performances on the pitch that can be solved via good coaching. Coz one thing that Brazil keep mistaking is that they need "world class talent" to play good football which is such a lie coz we see so many teams across the globe with nowhere near the talent level play wonderful attacking daring football and these teams don't have the talent + resources that some of these big nations have so I think on the pitch they gotta get that part right first via good coaching and then their structural issues they can dig into eventually bit by bit. Coz when it just comes to good football on the pitch that stuff doesn't require you to have talent across the pitch you just need a right idea and right plan with everyone on the same page and helping each other whether it's via more creative midfielders or fullbacks who actually go up and help their wingers pin defences back etc there's so much that can be done from just coaching that they are lacking.

@@MichaelTalksFootball1 Yep 💯💯💯 and that's where they gotta build from. Coz this excuse they like to use about "we don't have any talent anymore" doesn't work. Coz you can still play sensational football and lose and I think that's where they need to get their confidence and belief back.

Man, I hope they somehow fail to qualify for 2026. That said, I think they can easily improve. They just have to be humble enough to get a good foreign manager and develop an identity with the way they play. They cannot be conceding this much possesion against conmebol teams. The 0-0 against Costa Rica is what cost them this tournament

The truth is Brazil has an identity crisis at the moment

I believed in the Fernando Diniz process, the problem was he didn't dedicate full time to the national team since he was also managing Fluminense to win the libertadores and on top of that he got the most difficult matches when he took over, Venezuela, Colombia away, Uruguay away, and finally Argentina at home, he needed more time and to be fully committed to the national team, I hope he gets another opportunity

Your opinion bro.... Diniz's so called revolutionary approach called Relativism was a subject of a recent video.... Thoroughly analysed by an expert. The system was interesting but with too many loopholes to actually work against top class national squads with experienced pragmatic managers of world football..It would've required players playing together as a club, of course you know with national teams it isn't possible... That's why the system worked at club level with Fluminense..

Tough pill to swallow as a Brazilian. Unfortunately I was born just too late to be old enough to care about Brazil during the 2002 WC or to really care about that generation at all. My whole life has been seeing Brazil as a failure. As that “so close, but no cigar” team. I’ll forever keep hope that we can get out of this rut, but it seems at this rate we’re destined to be a Quarter-Finals team. Like a Netherlands or Belgium. I really do think a star coach like Ancelotti would have been a godsend for this team. Without a motivated superstar captain or a high level coach, 🇧🇷 will just keep floundering.

Would prefer to see that in ‘26, but at this rate I’m expecting Brazil will be ready to win again in ‘30! I’ll take it either way! Vamos! 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷

I watched all the Great sides of the last 40 years with profound love and admiration: That Genius squad of '82 with Socrates, Zico, Falcao, Eder and Junior tagged, "The Greatest team never to have won a World Cup"..The '86 squad with added talents like Careca and Julio Cesar, The '94 to 'O2 squad and that of 2006 crew with its collection of "galaxians " Honestly I'm disheartened. Let's hope the next generation of Endrick, Estevao, Marcos Leonardo, Savio, Yan Couto, Angelo Gabriel and Bento comes thru

I watched 7-1 at my big bro's house with him, his gf and my dad, i was the only one who predicted Germany to win, but we were all shocked by what we were seeing, we had to play Netherlands the next day but i couldn't think about it with the devastation i was watching

Teams go through a dark period at some point. Look at how long Argentina had to wait and experience heartaches before they could finally win again. Stay hopeful.

Brazil and Italy have been on similar trajectories over the last twenty years. Biggest difference is Brazil makes all the tournaments just to crash spectacularly while Italy crashed spectacularly in the later stages of qualifying.

it makes me sad, I grew up when Brazil was majestic, Rivaldo, Ronaldo, ALdair, Juninho, etc ..to see them now..

Not making to the 2026 WC would be the cherry on top. But I suspect that not even that would change anything within the corrupt CBF.

Brazils downfall is actually sad and I remember watching the game with my brothers.

I remember my dad got home at HT of the 7-1 and took him a minute to process the scoreline lol. Aimar once said that what they try to do in the youth NT "unteach" stuff. The younger players, specially those who grew up in europe may not have the same "national style" of playing, you have to teach them back to play our way. There's something in this brazilian side for the last few years that makes me think they are so far from proper brazilian football, it feels curated.

10 years... 10 years since we actually didn't bottle a World Cup. I was 8 years old when we won 7-1, I watched it at my cousins house and just couldn't understand what annihilation I was witnessing in the first proper World Cup i watched.

*Forgot to leave where I watched the game. Was in Nairobi Kenya on holiday. Coz my mom was working in Kenya at the time so we'd gone on holiday to visit.

I saw the 7-1 when I was in my freshman summer orientation in my high school. My professor was screaming the game and we were all watching it in horror. Gosh, I feel so old watching it.

is the mentality, in 2019 Brazil won the u17 world cup and the players on that team were amazing, they had a player named Gabriel Veron that was Endrick before Endrick he was even better, the guy reminded me a lot about Rivaldo, that style of brazilian player is so rare now, but what happened? none of them had the discipline to be profesional football players, Gabriel Veron quickly became a started for Palmeiras but his lack of discipline made the managers drop him out of the team

Indeed i had tremendous expectations from Gabriel Veron..He reminded me so much of Romario, though he played essentially as a winger but then again I was shocked how quickly things fizzled out....I believe he was briefly at Porto FC.. Correct me if I'm wrong

I was on the bus from work listening to it on the radio, I was so shocked i missed my end stop

Brazil needs to be humble. Dont expect to win a World Cup anytime soon. Improve the league and the youth system. They have the passion, population. They will be fine. I am more worried about Italy. If they are not careful, they could go the way of Urugauy and Hungary.

I was one of the people who predicted Germany would steamroll Brazil when Neymar went down. That wasn't a big surprise. Far too emotional and reliant on vibes at home. That being said, I think Brazil are pretty well-positioned for the 2026 world cup. And that should be their goal. Endrick and Estevao should be their starters by then, and Neymar will hopefully still be able to play for his Last Dance. The question is, who will coach the team? Brazil clearly hoped Don Carlo would be there by now, but is that still happening after next season? 2026 is only 2 years away...

I don't know if it's just me but I remember Brazil v France in the World Cup Semi when they were losing, and in the last 10-15 min of the game, it felt like France couldn't keep up that game felt rigged after how they had been playing the group stage and round of 16

I watched 7-1 at home. It stopped being fun at 3-0 lol

Do you know that Waldir Pereira aka DIDI, had to go to PERU to get recognition as a coach in 1970?

Im Brazillian, and, to be honest, im done with the Seleção, we're not gonna get better so quickly as i wished. Brazil is gonna stay dead and underperforming for at least some years. I give up for Brazil... I'll still cheer from them, but thats just it. We Ain't wining no' Nothing.

It's the corrupt inept CBF who sold the selecao to Nike back in the late 90s. They started treating it like a cash cow and subsequently, it started to be mediocre.

Brazil lack of world class managers, Tite is the only one so far achieved something and now they are back to square one.

I knew they were doomed a decade ago when I saw Fred starting for them. Football has moved on and the lads playing barefoot on the beaches haven't got the skill advantage anymore. Football is about pressure, work rate and strength as well as skill. Skill alone isn't enough anymore. There needs to be an overhaul of football development over there but they're stuck in their ways.

They are going through a dark period since that 7-1 embarassment vs. Germany like France between 2007-2013 and comeback stronger than before imo. I really hope it happens for them because Football needs a strong Brazil for the beauty of the game.

Brazil dont have new Romario, Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho. All they have now is overhyped Endrick, overhyped Estevao. New Romario, new Ronaldo, new Rivaldo and new Ronaldinho is Lamine Yamal. Jamal Musiala. Arda Guler. Proven at highest level. Not spoiled with Nike Contract.

Tite maybe could turn it around he is the only world class manager from 🇧🇷, even Jesse Marsch would do better
