Excerpted from Pink Martini's live 2021 concert at Edgefield in Portland, "Brasil" is the band's traditional closing concert number, written by Brazilian composer Ary Barroso, and also heard on Pink Martini's debut album Sympathique. Filmed on a rainy day in September 2021, soon after the band started touring again after a long hiatus during quarantine, this performance features the band's long-time lead singer China Forbes alongside co-lead singer Storm Large in the closing of an epic three hour concert in their hometown. The performance also features bandleader Thomas Lauderdale and Hunter Noack on piano, with a trombone solo by Robert Taylor.

Não perco um show da Pink Martini na minha cidade. A Storm Large vale 80% da banda, mas infelizmente, nem sempre acompanha a Pink Martini ao vivo. Quando está participando, ela sempre fecha o show com essa vibrante versão da Aquarela do Brasil. Aí todo mundo sai dançando da sala, às vezes formando “trenzinhos”.

How I wish you your tour came near me, in Bordentown (Central) NJ., an hour or less from Philadelphia, PA. I ADORE Pink Martini! Please consider venues within my area in 2023. Not sure any theater in Princeton, minutes from me, has a large enough venue, but there are many people there who, I imagine, are intelligent, world travelers, who would absolutely love what you do.
