Brantley writes his own music. I just watched him on TL’s Roadhouse (Tracy Lawrence’s podcast) and he said people are always asking him if he’s going to ever write a book. He said that his response is always “Man, have you listened to my music? That’s my life.” So what you just heard in that song is exactly what has happened in his life. ♥️

I love all BG’s music but the first time I heard this one it locked onto my soul. Still going thru aspects of this song in my life but I know what I’ll be when I get thru it.

I don’t mean to share such a long book above, but I felt the need to do it. You all don’t have to read all of it, I get it, it was alot. But hopefully, you all get a chance at some point to read it at some point. I get many song suggestions coming you all’s way, when I can save up some money.

Brantley Gilbert was a struggling with drinking all the time! It took one accident that changed it forever where he even said looking back at it he should've died from it!

Sometimes God has to break us a down in a sense, or allow us to make our mistakes in a sense. I think that’s why He gave us free will too. But I feel we have to come to God broken and humbly at times, on the good and bad days. I know it’s easier to praise God when everythign is going well, but what about, when it feels like all heck is breaking loose? David had to do this in the book of Psalms. And maybe I am saying some of that wrong. I by all means, don’t want to say I am a preacher, or know it all. Because I sure as heck don’t; and I am far from the person who knows everything. But this song, I remember Jesus saying, “He came to save sinners.” I think the point, He was trying to make in a sense, was that we are all sinners. He was talking to a certain group of people who felt like they did no wrong. But in a sense, He was talking to everyone. If you think you are perfect, what did He say exactly? I think He told them along the lines of basically, “If you all think you are perfect, cast the first stone.” Now granted, they still were very much so caught up on the ten commandments, which is great in a sense. But he was trying to get them to understand, they still sinned. I want to say he was talking to the Pharisees, but don’t quote me, I’d have to go back and check. Man I am 31 years old. I don’t tell many people this, but I can relate to this song. And many of the others, you have reacted to, I can relate too. And I love to hear it from the Christian perspective. I mean I know we are all sinners, we all mess up. But there is one addiction, I have struggled with since I was literally 11, and it is pornography. There are many other sins I feel like I do habitually, because of it, lying being one of them. Not by any means am I this evil down right bad person. But I am a sinner, and I know it. I struggle with God’s grace sometimes, knowing I sometimes make the same mistakes over and over. I feel terrible after the fact, like a never ending cycel sometimes. And although, I work, and what I do, involves helping and loving others. Jesus’s two biggest commandments were, “Love the Lord with all your heart.” And, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” But if I could back in time, I would never have even watched that mess then. But you don’t know or understand, when you are that young and dumb. And that’s no excuse as to why I am still struggling with it, at times today. I know it’s an addiction, I have had times where I thought I had finally overcame it. I ask God every day to help me overcome it. I know I am a sinner. I know I have some issues. And I am humble enough to say that. I believe in Jesus with all my heart, and everything He did for me. Sometimes I wonder why I continue to dig my own graves at times. I am not a bad person at all, there’s a lot of good in me. So many gifts, the Man above has blessed me with. I just have a few things, that I need to continue to work on. But one thing for sure is, I will never give up, as long as I still have breath in my body. I been watching you guys, I am a huge fan. But more so, not just cause you all are really nice and cool. But I feel like God is working through you two, too help people. I carry the same beliefs you all do. I just wanted to share my story. I hope people read this, and understand, don’t ever give up. Don’t ever give up on your dreams, yourself, overcoming your own problems, etc. But most importantly, don’t ever give up on God. Don’t ever give up or forget about the Cross. The greatest sacrifice and love that was given to us all. He sent his son to die for us all. Don’t ever forget the Cross, even when it gets hard. Even when you feel like giving up, don’t ever give up on the Cross. And to all of our Vets, God bless you all so much. Thanks for all you have done for us. God bless you all on this page, and these two are amazing, so everybody keep watching.
