Brandy creates art. She is not just singing words with emotion. She creates an atmosphere for the listener to immerse themselves into the song subconsiously. There is so much going on in the delivery of her vocals. You can get lost in a run, her tone, the rhythm, the harmony, the vocal placement, the ornamentation, the vocal blend, the phrasing, the vowel manipulation.....all this technical musical shit is going on in all of her songs. She is a musical genius!

Brandy is one of those artists that everyday ppl don’t understand, because a lot of them don’t know about music enough. People who sing, almost ALWAYS love, and mimic her techniques. She’s influenced every artist that has come after her, some, even during her same time. Even artists that don’t know her voice and music well, mimic other artists, that are mimicking her. This is true across all genres of music. If you do thorough research, you’ll see for yourself. The music industry KNOWS her impact, and gives her more credit than regular fans of music do.
