This is in Tokyo, Japan.. they are very quiet and reserved and thats their culture... hell even on their subway you shouldnt make noise or talk because in their culture it is disrespectful and rude. They may have seen this concert as a performance where they listen and the singer performs so they like to keep quiet to listen to the live performance rather than scream. Also, English is also somethinf they arent good at especially at that time.

At the day. they are her bosses. They paid to see her. She can’t fire them.

Not her best live. You gotta check out shows from the mid 2000s and earlier, that was her prime. It was a big flex if a artist had top tier vocals in the late 80s and early of the 90s, her, En Vogue, and a few others would show out with the high notes! I definitely think the audience didn't know the words, nor what she was saying to them! 😂 I've seen them be like that with other english speaking artists, it's wild how much they love our music without even understanding a word of it!
