Hi Heather! I love your humour and you saved my sanity seriously. You will probably never read this but I really love your podcast. I was married to a strict muslim man. After 33 years I finally found the courqge to leave despite scary death threats. I just retired from my 21 teaching career, 2 weeks before the new school year because of covid and i have my first granson. I sold my 4000sq ft house 2 weeks and bought a much smaller century house on Lake Ontario. Your wacky sense of humour healed my broken heart and I am saying thank you. if you are anytime in Toronto, I could get a huge group of folks filling the place up!!!

the serial killer was in Yosemite, not Yellowstone. He was the older brother of a famous child kidnapping. his little brother was kidnapped years earlier and held in a van for a very long time and was finally found. it is a complicated very sad story. Each person in the story had a compelling story.

That’s right-; he met her at a charity event- she was very involved with princess diana”s charity for victims of land mines- John Lennon’s mother was killed by a cop car- Paul was close to John”s mother- so the fact that heather was hit by a cops motorcycle probably resonated with him- the kids hated her because she was a phony

I am playing a drinking game with myself. When ever Heather mentions the Zion woman or Dirty John I drink 😂 Love her so much.

also the Hawaii story was a scam too. I know the people who were there searching. wish they would see what a sham it was because there is plenty of humor in making fun of the absurdity of Ellers claims.

My friends and I were always dropped off at the movie theater at the age of 9 and up. My kids are now 11 and 13 and I would never. My 11 year old son would have a panic attack.

Just wanted to chime in to agree with the other comments, these Julie and Brandy eps have been my favourites. I heard Heather guest on some podcasts I listened to in the past, but didn't realize she was so funny. I'm going to have to go back and listen now. Heather is hilarious in the best unintentionally offensive way. She reminds me of my mom. she did. I am friends with the girl that was pres of Maui Search and Rescue at the time who led the ground search. She insists the Eller fam are criminals. She has the GPS coordinates of where Amanda was allegedly found and it was not possible for her to get from her car to that place without walking around the main highway for several miles. Amandas shoes...she claimed were washed away in a flash flood but it had not rained the entire 17 days esp in that forest area, not one drop. also the shoes were found a few weeks later by 1st responders and they were right by where the choppers picked her up. All of the cuts and scrapes disappeared by the next day at her news conference. I also was very close friends with the woman who started the volunteer search. But I no longer am friends with her after she became involved with this sham. Im not saying she entirely knew it was a scam, but she kept changing the story and willfully ignored evidence that made it clear it was all a lie. all because she was so obsessed with being the hero that "found Amanda" that no amount of evidence was going to rob her of that glory.

Amandas parents started a private search and rescue the day after she was found. They use it to funnel $1000s in GFM donations to the private contractors they work with. The Pres of MSAR insists they are all criminals and I have heard from multiple people that their leader Chris Berquist is an extortionist....even from his former boss. The fam is lobbying to have the state force ppl to pay their own search and rescue even if they are found dead. and they will get the $ if it passes. Imagine the liens of peoples estates? The ellers are mafia. Dad makes $5 million a year running a GPS tracking company. I can go on and on and on. I have folders and folders of evidence collected with my pals that are over there including the Pres of MSAR.

If anyone knows the shyne story nino and his squad were going to kill puff that night and he was protecting puff and Jennifer they all drew guns, Shyne was deported back to Belize and currently running for office there. Jlo said she left mr combs because she was tired of getting cheated on. I remember this story it was during the puffy era.

thank you for this, we need a deep dive discussion on what went down that night. side note: anyone remember JLO when she went to court to support Puffy? she had on a cream coat with fur trim ( very Dolce and Gabbana from early 000;s). It was killer, no pun intended.

Naomi was dating Ashley's father, Michael Ciminella, but also hooked up or whatever they called it 50+ years ago with this other boy from school. She got pregnant with the random guy, but I think he was a football player who went off to college. So her real bf married her. I'm not sure whether she knew which one was the dad until after Wynonna was born. Then she and her husband went on to have Ashley, the only one of the three who retains her real first name. Naomi is actually Diana and Wynonna is Christina. There was always this mystery given that Naomi and Ashley look so similar and poor Wynonna looks like her lunk of a father. For sure, Naomi knew. I think Michael and Ashley knew because at times Ashley lived with her father, but Wynonna never did. It came out eventually, mainly to the surprise of no one, but maybe Wynonna a bit. By the time the real father was confirmed, I think he had died.

I absolutely adore Brandy & Julie. They're hilarious and have known of them from Johnny McGoverns show. I have such a crush on Julie and would love to just follow her around. In a total non creepy, non invasive way. They're both the kind of humans you dream of being friends with.
