The Starfish-like monster is from the first Ultraman series. It's a petroleum eating creature called Pestar. Your observation about the creature dying on its own is correct. In the episode Oil SOS, it dies from smoke inhalation from raging petroleum fires. Rather than defeating the monster, Ultraman really just extinguishes the fires.

The so-called ending reminds me of the MONTY PYTHON skit about a movie producer who makes low budget, blink and you'll miss it remakes of famous movies, such as a minute long version of REAR WINDOW which is just a guy sticking his head in and out of his apartment window and gesturing wildly.

Ok, dude, the monster that looks like a dinosaur fucked a virus in this film is Verokron, AN ULTRAMAN ACE MONSTER! Meaning they did use Ultraman Ace footage, just not the one where Dorgorie tears Muruchi apart. In fact, here's a list of all the monsters that appeared: Flying Bird Boy - Terochilos, an Ultraman Jack monster Bat Boytron - Pestar, an Ultraman monster Tricerasaurus Rex - Dorigon, a Fireman monster Kitedon - Bemstar, an Ultraman Jack monster Rhino Doggo - Seamons, an Ultraman Jack monster Bigger Rhino Doggo - Seagorath, an Ultraman Jack monster Let me know if this clears anything up.

In case you don't know, the kaiju featured in this movie are Verokron (the dinosaur/virus hybrid), Terochilus (the chicken/pterodactyl hybrid), Pestar (the starfish/bat hybrid), Dorigon (the Triceratops kaiju), Bemstar (the Fearsome Kiteodon), Seamons (the one that looks like Rhyhorn), and Seagorath (the one that looks like Rhydon).

The red and black coral dragon is Verokron from Ultraman Ace (So, yeah, they could have used that rpping-off the jaw footage). The starfish bat is Pestar from the original Ultraman.

The word "man" has a different etymology than the word "woman". It doesn't strictly refer to the male sex or to a single male individual. It can also refer to humanity as a whole. Humor based on ignorance is about as funny as 9/11.

the Dinosaur/Virus mashup is Velokron and Re-Velokron(Velokron being the first Chouju that Ace fought) which was also with Re-Bemstar(Bemstar being the one feeding on oil) and Re-Sabotendar(Sabotendar also being an Ace foe) And the Triceratops T-Rex kaiju was from Fireman(a 1973 series made alongside Taro and Jumborg Ace)

While I fully admit this may be up to personal interpretation... I have also watched this movie, and I think the dinosaur-virus monster that the doctor says the little girl hallucinated she actually DID hallucinate, as like a trauma response to seeing the bird monster earlier, as dino-virus is never seen again in the movie and, as you said, a full scale attack on the city like that would be rather hard for everyone to miss.

About the mole thing.... It was a common trope in Asian movies back in the day ( pre 60s) where they'd use a mole as a disguise. I've seen it in old Turkish, Indian (so common that they parody it now) and Korean movies.
