I havnt seen this movie and this comments has me wondering how they resolved the not going to school plot? Was it ever touched on? @@pedrokatcradle I'm not sure about in the dubbing (starting with "Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah" the dubbers just started making shit up that rarely reflected what the Japanese actors actually said), but I THINK in the Japanese dialogue Shota talks about deciding to start school again. Because King Ghidorah or what the movie calls him Grand King Ghidorah came to earth before the extinction to kill the dinosaurs. 3:46 If Godzilla appeared in that movie he would be 50-55 meters tall because Grand King Ghidorah is 60 meters, moreover most of the monsters in the mothra trilogy are shorter than the Heisei Godzilla monsters

King Ghidorah is NEVER referred to as "Grand King Ghidorah" in the movie. That's a Japanese fan nickname that caught on. In the screenplay of the movie, there was the revelation that Death Ghidorah was King Ghidorah's son and that Death Ghidorah came to earth to finish the job his father started. This did not make it into the final film, though.

I'm afraid that has nothing to do with it. "Mothra '96" didn't do what Toho expected it would. And "Mothra 2" did extremely badly. Your videos have been great companions to these films as I make my way through them, the musical gags get me every time! The first two movies, especially the second, were a little rough but I think this one works as an alright family movie
This Ghidorah is such a badass design. Also, while Cretaceous Ghidorah is kinda generic in terms of design, its fight with Mothra is a bit overlooked, in my opinion. It's the most physical we see a Ghidorah get (actually running, using its tails to attack opponents rather than them just being liabilities to be bitten/grabbed, tearing at Mothra's wings), and the fight is very evenly matched. But what is with these Rebirth of Mothra movies thinking that the hero winning the climactic battle without a scratch is satisfying. I've always said, if they were sports movies, the good guys would win "the big game" 101-0.
Mothra: Godzilla, King Ghidora is attacking Japan. Godzilla: Dude, I just got done with my jazzercise class.I'm beat.Deal with it yourself bro. Mothra: 😮🥺😫

About time I got to this one. I have to say, this one has to be the most ambitious of the "Rebirth of Mothra" movies, seeing it was trying to deviate from the first two's environmental messages with its emphasis of time travel. Also as kid friendly as the first two movies were, this one really had some balls to show some blood. Great episode.
It’s odd that the Mothra species has dimorphism, the females have more of a ranged healer/support, while the males could be a mid-ranged projectile/melee rushdown.
In the original movie, the dad doesn't actually say you should of used the belt on him more often.
Nice video as always! I was wondering if for the eventual next Godzilla video you could review Godzilla against mechagodzilla 2002 or Tokyo sos
