How mothra Is male I thought mothra Is female

Battra isn't really an "evil" version of Mothra. He's basically Mothra's BROTHER, but they are also Yin and Yang to each other. Both have the goal of protecting Planet Earth, but Battra feels that humanity needs to be wiped out in order for Earth to survive. Mothra, however, vehemently believes humans deserve the exact same rights to life as all the rest of Earth's species, even if they do often have destructive tendencies, and this is why Mothra and Battra clash with each other. Mothra: Please brother! Don't force me to kill you! Battra: You fight to protect those who don't deserve protection, Mothra! That's why I am stronger than you!

Molten lava is not that hot actually, especially for an invincible creature like Godzilla. Molten lava is between 2,000-4,000°F. The highest melting point for a metal is about 7,000°F. Compare that with the fact that, in some incarnations including the legendary, he can somehow withstand 50,000,000-150,000,000°F heat from a nuke yet get hurt somehow by other kaiju.

He absorbs the nuclear energy that creates the heat that the blast creates, so he doesn’t withstand it he just negates its effects, and you can’t really absorb an physical attack, or the beam attacks that are a byproduct of the radiation, not radiation itself

We don’t know that. They only publically stated that they have the rights to Rodan, Mothra, King Ghidorah and Godzilla. For all we know they could have a few more monsters and will announce them if Godzilla vs Kong is a success

It's just that in Heisei G-series, which tried to be more realistic looking and was teen oriented, this cute design felt very out of place (tho at least it didn't look like a fucking suturday morning cartoon that was G Junior in the 1994 movie). "Rebirth of Mothra" trilogy were silly campy kid films, yet Mothra designs there got toned down, with some even looking bad ass.

Well you see the reason is because at the end of Ghidora was a Tuesday, the meteor strike was on Thursday. So it would be like you were woken up at midnight, fall back asleep, then the dog barks at two. You'd be annoyed too.

There's this theory that when Mothra placed that seal after dropping Godzilla and Battra it slowly made Godzilla good so that he can protect the earth while Mothra was busy with the meteor

I like Battra, and I think he needs more usage in movies. The whole Yin and Yang thing with Mothra and his design and abilities are my favorite aspects about him. He’s one of the kaiju I wanna see in Legendaty’s Monsterverse.

This is my favorite Godzilla movie, not just in the Heisei series, but in the entire franchise in general. The music is great, the story was great, and it has my favorite Kaiju, Mothra, in it. Not to mention Mothra going into space with the music playing is the most triumphant ending I have ever seen.

The twins singing Highest in the Room was always my favorite part as a kid.

Mothra was just trying to establish herself as the Queen before Battra showed up and tried taking her crown.

Ha funny now I’m starting to think now that throughout the years that both Godzilla and Mothra has been fighting each throughout the years within the Tohoverse they finally manage to gain symbiotic relationship (mainly just friends) with each other. Well this film has been one of those interesting histories that both Godzilla and Mothra had with each other.

12:29 - It's another homage to 1961 Mothra. She gets attacked while she's at sea in there too.

16:27 whelp might as well start buying plushies of Heisei Mothra she’s cute, while that’s happening might as well get those Monsterverse plushies of Mothra and the other three Kaiju’s as well. I really like Mothra so much I’ll might take a look at the Mothra trilogy someday. It’ll be awesome if we do actually get a Mothra solo film for the MV too though.

This one is underrated and all of the kaiju’s in this film look great

My biggest problem with this movie is that, it doesn't know what movie it wants to be. Is it Mothra, Godzilla vs Mothra, Godzilla vs The Giga-Moth, or maybe Mothra vs The Giga-Moth? Godzilla vs Mothra is a movie that never coalesces into a single film, but is one that keeps changing what movie it is every 5 min. It's basically a Mothra trilogy in vignette form co-staring Godzilla, who really didn't need to be in this movie at all. Which is a shame because it has the second or third best effects in the Heisei era

I've always considered this movie to be kind of an unofficial Rebirth of Mothra 0. The model they used for Mothra here is the same one they used for the Mother Mothra in RoM1, so I always figured they were one and the same creature. And imagining this as RoM0 makes sense. Mothra and Battra team up to defeat Godzilla at the cost of Battra's life, Mothra seals Godzilla away forever with that giant glyph at the end, and then she goes on to years later lay an egg before RoM1 happens. The next Godzilla movie, Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II, doesn't explain how Godzilla escaped from the seal at all, so it's like it takes place in an alternate timeline where the sealing process never happened.

Godzilla all month?!?! That's almost as awesome as a second MIB cameo!!

To be fair, Battra’s eye lights had gone out, so he was already dead when she dropped him and Godzilla. Then again, she may have positioned him by Godzilla’s mouth on purpose.

This movie could have been a lot better but Battra is one of the coolest kaiju especially his larva stage.

I’m especially grateful for this latest video because El Rey Network canceled their annual Christmas Kaiju Marathon. They were the only channel left on TV where I could find classic Godzilla and other giant monster movies. Thank you, Brandon, for helping me get my Kaiju Fix this holiday season.

(Laughs in Canadian) You know nothing, Duffy Boi. The coldest city in Ohio (Youngston) has an average annual low of 40 F. Regina, Saskatchewan has an average annual low temperature of 26 F. Better bring your long underwear, eh? ;)

Itzmbd Exactly. Saying, “ha, ha here is a number in units you don’t understand” is kind of meaningless. I mean Saskatchewan already sort of sounds like a made up place, so why confuse him more than necessary ;)

This was the first Godzilla film I saw, so it holds special in my heart. But my favorite is GMK (2001)

Fun fact, the original draft for this was Mothra vs Bagan, before it was reworked to Mothra vs Gigamoth and finally Godzilla vs Mothra. In fact Godzilla is the third wheel in this because Battra took the role of the primary antagonist Bagan/Gigamoth, and they stuck Godzilla in pretty much for name branding.

Mothra vs bagan was it's own thing. This was started as godzilla vs gigamoth and gigamoth was replaced by mothra but simultaneously reworked into battra. Godzilla was always intended to be in the film. The film just gives godzilla such little motivation that he feels like a third wheel in what is basically a rivalry between mothra and battra

Battra should have appeared in The Rebirth of Mothra Trilogy. Maybe one day when Toho decides to reboot the Godzilla franchise again we can get a another Mothra movie with Battra with time
