Makes me feel proud that I’ve been listening to Brandi for over 12 years when she was a small act and telling everyone you gotta listen to her

I'm in South Carolina. I remember the first time I saw of her at the Orange Peel a little club in Asheville NC. Her and the twins where the opening act. I was sold on the first note.
we were at her 1st concert back in MONTANA - it was the BEST concert we have ever seen.... no words describe what we felt that night.
I heard her for the first time a couple of weeks ago and she blew my mind!
Brandi is music gold!
I love Brandi for her brave sweetheart. The way she talking about the miserable times is so inspiring. I'm really thankful for knowing her.
Proud of know her before all the fame! That nigth at the Orpheum in LA was amazing!!

I was there too! Miss the old Brandi, a bit.
When I played "right on time" for my mom she said "She's like a female Roy Orbison" - And yes indeed, When Brandi writes, and sings, she knows how to pull from the orchestra of the heart !

I adore this woman, and yes representation matters.
I remember watching her play on stage for Black Diamond Days in Black Diamond Washington. Incredibly genuine.

Chronologically mine your life. Wow what great advice
GooD:-)
Roy Orbison, The Blue Bayou. Save a nickel, save a dime. Elvis and J.D. Samper, The gospel songs. Elvis was destroyed by fame snd money, few can take that pressure. Wayne Newton survived Las Vegas, he bought Arabian Horses, and stayed on the ranch. Then there was Old Blue Eyes, New York, New York. Frank Sinatra. James Taylor, Fire and Rain. John Denver Country Roads. Wow a walk down memory lane.
Gail, stupid question!
Can Gayle shut up and let Brandi answer.
I adore her. Saw her from the beginning live. I miss old Brandi Carlile. The celebrity thing isn’t her….the Courtney Cox directed her video? Oy vey.

The Kennedy Awards? Joni Mitchell, now that is a long time back. Big Yellow Taxi. Joan Baez, (Google Troll edit ) now there was a voice, they don't make singing voices like that anymore. The Night they drove Ol' Dixie Down. Virgal Kane is my name, and I came on the Danville Train. Virgil quick come see, there goes a Robert E. Lee. ..., They shouldn't have taken the very best! ... You can't raise a Kane back up, when the blood is in the feet. Yes songs, with real thought and meaning, folk songs. Folk Songs they don't even write Folk Songs anymore. Bob Dylan The answer my friend, is blowin' in the wind. The answer is blowin' in the wind. So you have a new singer? What is her name? Brandi Carlise? never heard of her, but we will listen, we can tell in the first two notes, wether she can sing or not. Lots come and lots go, but the real singers are rare indeed. Wish her luck.

It has been 24, hours CBS, and now those old songs are stuck in my head, going round and round, Joan Baez, her voice was captivating, like a siren. Quantana Mara, Quantana Mara, Juanita, Quantana Mara, Quantana Mara, Juanita Quantana Mara. ( None of us could speak spanish, and we couldn't figure out what Joan Baez, was saying? but she had us all, spellbound.) ( During the early 60's there were numerous, excellent singers, and then they all of a sudden stopped, maybe the fluorine in the drinking water? maybe high fructose corn syrup? we don't know? but the excellent singers were gone, replaced by acid reflux singers, you had to go to Sweden to find Abba, singers not polluted with chemicals that scorched the vocal cords.) Honestly while, I haven't heard Brandi Carlyse, sing, if she can sing, really good like Britany Spears, Dolly Pardon, Celine Dion, or Wanda Jackson. then she will rise to the top. but promoters alone won't help. she has to have the Gift. You cannot practice enough, to get the Gift. They are just born with it.

@@JL40385 if I didn't know; how, can I have lost? I've meet many singers and song writers. It's not my fault that she's not in my cycle of music. I guess she's not in my upper class of music. She's no Barbara Mandrill, Crystal Gale, or Carrie Underwood. Plus she's not my style.
