Brandi Carlile Praises Maren Morris Standing Up For Trans Kids

Brandi Carlile is one day away from "Brandi Carlile: In the Canyon Haze - Live from Laurel Canyon," a one-night-only interactive IMAX Live experience, where she and her band will perform her brand-new deluxe album, "In the Canyon Haze," for fans. "It's going to be visually beautiful. It's going to have a mystique and a lushness to it musically that'll be unusual," she teased in an interview Access Hollywood. Brandi also discussed her friendship with Joni Mitchell and her two daughters' unique talents. Plus, she elaborated on her support for fellow country star Maren Morris - who sings with her in The Highwomen - speaking out in support of trans youth. "When you see somebody like Maren take up the cause of a marginalized person when she's not a marginalized person, it helps," she shared in part. "Brandi Carlile: In the Canyon Haze - Live from Laurel Canyon" streams live in select IMAX theaters Sept. 28. Tickets are on sale now.

She is loved by Dolly Parton, Joni Mitchell, Alicia Keys, Tanya Tucker, late John Prine, Elton John, Bonnie Raitt, Mavis Staples, Annie Lennox and the list could go on forever...people from all musical genres and all walks of life or whoever knows a little bit about music ... You probably need to learn more and behave better :)

@ashley1994 I feel sorry for you if you can’t see the talent, beauty and spirit of Brandi. Every single time I’ve seen her live it’s been a spiritual experience, I don’t know any other way to describe it. No other artist has touched my soul like this and maybe not everyone can connect with her in the same way but many, many do. Life is short and the world is hard, you can choose not to write hate about someone you clearly don’t know, who has brought so much joy and beauty to the world.
Brandi is pure heart and authentic human. She exudes beauty from the inside deep in her soul to a tangible beauty of what is the very best of humans. And women. Brightest light in a troubled world. Love love love this woman and all she is. ❤

Just watched it on 7/1/23 on HBO…omg!!! I had mad respect for her but this elevated it to a whole other level! What a voice, pure honest talent!

Brandi, I was a sports kid. Softball, soccer through college, tennis, volleyball, etc Now I play competitive table tennis.. My advice is just give Evangeline opportunities to try out different kids sports. let her move and get to know her body. just bring a soccer ball and softball gloves and bat on tour and play when you can. To me playing sports is about moving my body, using my senses, the adrenaline of competition, being outside, making friends, working towards a common goal, high-fiving.

Brandi, please excuse the first-name-basis address, but I want to commend you for pointing out and praising Maren Morris for being an ally. She, like you, are more than amazing musicians -- you are amazing humans! To me, that is the greatest achievement and goal for all people. Thank you for being you and please thank Maren when you communicate with her next. What a gift the world if we all just take the time to appreciate it. Thank you for you, your gift of music to us all, and thank you for supporting allies. Allies are so necessary but, many times, so underappreciated. This is just a big thank you babble, but with a point of all of us being allies to other shining souls. So, thank you.

Trans children are never castrated. Where did you get this from? Trans people cannot receive any form of gender reassignment surgery unless they are old enough to consent.
