@@gabet3754I love the DS-1! Gary Moore tone!
I like that this gives new life and versatility to traditional amps for live use, but gives me the consistency of tone that’s hard to get mic’ing a cab. This box adds value to things we already have. I dig it.

Agreed 100%!
First of all, I love this piece of gear. I'm getting one asap. Secondly, I loved seeing Warren in producer mode. I don't think he meant to, but all that experience just comes flowing out of him. Making quick, definitive decisions about which mic he liked better, the comment about the room mics "I like the dampening but think the extra low end will muddy up our dry signal." All of that was coming from a total pro producer mindset thinking about how each element affects the others and how they'll all sit together for an end product. Very very cool to watch. Thirdly, I've watched a lot of the Produce Like A Pro videos for mixing and recording tips, but I don't think I've seen Warren play guitar. You rip dude! Awesome playing, and a beautiful Les Paul to boot! Thoroughly enjoyed this video!
Great video! So many cool, well thought out features. I like that you used the old 11Rack to showcase it. A lot of these "old" units have pretty decent amp modelling but it's the cab section that is really lacky because of the very limited cpu power. This would be an upgrade for so many of them.
Sounds amazing. great job universal Audio and thanks for the demo guys.

Man alive that sounds tasty. I still have an Eleven Rack and recently got a Two Notes Torpedo C.A.B. M+ pedal. It sounds good but the UA OX stomp looks amazing. There's gonna be some more competition in this line of products very soon. Hopefully when new / more cab's are captured we can download them and load that up into your pedal. The future looks good for these pedals. Thanks very much for the great review and video

Love to see the Eleven Rack here. I still have one (my third...not selling this one) and while I don't use it much it really does still hold up today, especially with modern cabinets! I have an Ox Box and might have to try the internal line input with the 11R.

Well you still need to hear it through something. If you gig out you're still needing to buy some kind of FRFR speaker for monitoring or putting out into the room. And the nice options for those are often very expensive. You can buy studio monitors, but those don't exactly fill a room. Now my back and my wallet are feeling it.

Awesome video. Thank you, Rob and Warren. The OX Stomp sounds fantastic. The feature to be able to use and blend two amps simultaneously is amazing. I guess using the OX Stomp for it eliminates a lot of the risk of getting phase issues. I'll definitely check it out and compare it to my CAB M. I would love to see the "CMS" Cab Room Mic Physical Modeling technology available as a UAD plugin, so I can use it within the console of my Apollo interfaces. Cool stomp! Sounds like the ox! 🤘🏻
So they modelled the speaker and cabinet behaviour instead of using a static IR, and it makes a big difference, similar to how the sound of a real cabinet impacts the sound. That's a hint for amp modellers to perhaps focus more on cab dynamics. I like the sound of the UAFX pedal range but as a player regret the lack of expression or midi input. This one actually makes sense as an end of chain studio tool.

How does this compare to Celestions DSR and what Bogren does?
Can I use an Ox Stomp to connect a stomp pedal directly to an audio interface without using an amp simulator or bypassing the amp?
They keep getting so close. For me, the fact that this doesnt have midi or a headphone out is such a bummer... but I may still get one because it does sound great.
If I use dream 65 and this one, still need a DI to PA system?
I have never succeeded to get a satisfying tone with IRs. I always come back to micing my cabs. Maybe this product will make me reconsider digital modeling for this application. Too bad it is on the expensive side and without a dedicated headphone output which would make a lot of sense on such a product.

Very Honestly I'm not very much a fan all these tones but the original OX-box seems to be hugely underrated. It's expensive but I'd challange anyone to get as good as some tones that those cabinets and multiple mics setups in those rooms. It's rare for me to like amp head-sims. There's some magic and depth of real tubes in real heads. The OX-box takes that magic and carries it through with no compromise and is even an improvement of so many cabinets and rooms and mic setups of so many studios. So very honestly, this stomp isn't it for me, but I very happily hype the original OX-box. While at it the UAD Waterfal B3 is killer, certainly with the u67s at the horns of the overdriven leslie.

some of my favorite pedals: lovepedal eternity kanji, strymon el capstan, z-vex super hard on, jhs milkman, and soon to be the uad ox box pedal once I win this giveaway ;-)
So you can run two amps (with load boxes) into the pedal at once and get a stereo signal. Can you run stereo effects into amp A/amp B (with load boxes), then into the Ox Pedal to maintain the stereo signal (without combining the signals into mono and then separating them into stereo like the Strymon Volante does)? If so, that's impressive.
