I just bought the exact same. Great review. The only thing I would suggest is get rid of the background music. It is a bit much/distracting.
Got the same kit, and eventually went with the suplamental drill bits to round it out. Jessum makes some very nice stuff! Have used them to build two tables so far and super easy and work perfectly.
Thanks for the review. As of today, mid jan 2024 the kit you have plus drill bits and shipping is $175.66. Shipping alone is $24 even though I have Prime. So it may be a weekend hobbyist kit but not exactly priced for the weekend hobbyist no matter how good it is.
I have to agree with you. Something about those Canadians. They sure know how to build Doweling jigs (The excellent Dowelmax, which I also love is also from Canada). I was lucky enough to get the Pro version during Black Friday at a really good deal. I bought it from the official Jessum website in Canada, and it did take a few weeks to get it but it was so worth it. I was able to get free shipping because I also bought the drill bits and a few other router bits to bring the cost to 250.00. Not bad considering this is the kind of tool that will last a lifetime. I also have the original version and it is quite a bit heavier, but also "a work of Art." Have fun with this excellent tool. You are right, if anyone makes an error with this or the Dowelmax, it is the users fault, not the jig itself. This thing is dead on accurate and is engineered to very high tolerances.
Thanks for the overview. The jessem jigs are one of only two brands worth buying IMHO, the other being the dowelmax. It's slightly pricier, but has a few features that make it worth it. For me, the two main advantages being the integrated clamping and the fact that they come with drill bits a few thou oversized to give room for glue. Off the shelf bits, mind you (they're in mm), so you get get extras either direct from dowelmax or from any place that sells them like mcmaster. Looking forward to see what you build with it!👍

Thank you! I can't wait either. So backed up with other projects!
I bought the same product last week. Amazed at how well the components were constructed…all steel. Excellent value with all three sizes and common angle bracket. Believe the earlier introductory versions came with drill bits and collar stops.

Just so you know I pre ordered mine had to buy dill bits an angle bracket separately my friend it’s a very accurate product and much lighter than the previous model from years ago a helps a great deal with being lighter but you need to clamp it for accuracy
Good review, but you kept referencing the spacing between the dowels (1/2", 3/4", and 1") as the dowel size. The kit is a 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" dowel jig.
Jessem do make quality stuff but what about a metric version to keep up with the rest of the world?
Can this jig do mid panel dowel holes?
Which AmazonBangood jig did you return?
mm 제품은 없나요?
Try to centre the holes! You’ll be sorry
No drill bits?

Not in my kit
Its so hard to hear what you are saying when the music is so loud. You don't need the music while you are talking.
The music is too much.
Music pretty well makes your video a looser . Next
Music too loud and distracting. 👎
