You did a splendid job the only thing I would have wanted would have been a wet fast just a simple you know drain to a small gray tank underneath and a shower nozzle on a flex hose with a button to control the amount of water but other than that perfect everything about it it's a shame I don't live there and you're not here in the states because I would buy a van and pay you whatever you wanted to do that for me

Really love it! Tfp! 4:56 i understand why theres no storage on that side....wldnt wanna wake n hit my head. Customer not only designed a layout she needed to use but a design that cld later-on be for SALE if anyone wld like a campervan...good on ya for following her design to the tee, too! Appears to be an extremely well crafted wood work. I have a 2006 mercedes sprinter with a 12 volt only fridge which surprisingly only needs 20 mins charge twice a day to maintain the truck sized battery. I'm very surprised by this. I'll say again your wood working really is excellent .

Nice conversion and thanks for sharing with us :) The only thing extra I would like to see are some rear cabinet doors so that she can get access to that loverly amount of storage space without removing the bed :)

Zen Zen we did discuss putting doors in the back for that reason but for what we need to allow for hinges and catches it really wouldnt have been useful. Many thanks for watching

Love the little toilet. Could live without a shower but must have a loo!

As you say it is a one off and I have a sneaking suspicion you'll be pleased for that. It is a great design for the job required though so as long as the customer is happy then it is job done! I am shocked at the hideous designs of some of the major producers for motor homes these days in the UK, using garish cheap materials and workmanship that leaves a lot to be desired. The transverse bed design with a garage type underneath is a favorite of mine and will feature in my next build.

Thanks for the vid, great conversion. If you had to choose between a used transit, a relay, and a trafic, barring they alla have been taken care of at regular intervals, and say between 2006 and 2011,wjat would you choose? The intent is to travel trough Europe for a few years.

timothy790110 Hi Tim, assuming all would be in good running order that for me would probably come down to personal preference as all run well but for me i would side with the relay due to the size for converting. its the bigger of the 3 and parts are easy to get hold of as well. it would give you more flexibility when converting because you can have a 6ft bed across the vehicle where you cant in the others. if i can be of anymore help please let me know and i will do my best. many thanks Dan

dantheman 321 thank you Dan, very nice of you to reply! I'm looking at a 2010 relay, mwb (4900 cm) high roof with 120.000 miles on it. It has a cargo length of 3150 cm, which is plenty for me. Price is around 6000 pounds from a dealer. I'm 6.1 so I was planning on doing a Murphy bed.

Dont think you have quite 6ft once you have lined the roof, im 5ft 10 and i was fine with head height, hope this helps and many thanks for watching

George Naudi It was quite awhile ago now that i did this conversion but if memory serves i think the bed was 3ft wide and the length was about 5ft 9ish. Not quite long enough for me but the lady wanted it that way and she was very pleased with it. Many thanks for watching

What surprises me about this particular conversion, is the fact that you’ve manages to squeeze in all the features that one would expect to find in a larger van, and that (to me) makes it very special. In your opinion, would you have manged to develop the toilet area into a usable shower or is the vehicle just too small for that?

George Naudi The layout in this vehicle probably wouldnt allow for a shower but if the layout was changed then yes a shower would be possible. Many thanks for watching

IN these camper tours, I wish they would just go through the general layout first, a quick tour. If I don't like the layout I'm not concerned with all the details, and could save a lot of time. As it is I fast forward through them looking for the layout.

I see two problemms with this conversion. 1. There is a single seat on the front which will be normally totally useless and it would be better if you remove it completelly and make some space for baggage or increase bed space (from 2 to 3 persons). 2. The heater is hidden under the bed. It should be outside so it could actually work. Other than that excellent work/

Great conversion. But. A DVLA question. The bed. I understand it should be 6ft or 180cm. I know she will be sleeping diagonally. Is this ok. I take it has been re registered as a motorhome. Derek

Derek Huckle hi Derek the customer will now re register the vehicle as a campervan (as this is her own vehicle) with a covering letter from ourselves to say we have carried out the work and along with some photographs.

Vans this size can also fit a shower. You should have recommended adding one. It would have substantially increased its value. The permanent bed could also have doubled as seating with a fold-out table.

Maxwell S The lady that we built this conversion for did not want a shower and the bed at the back also had to house the dog cages while she was driving, so the bed height was governed by the size of the cage. We do try to offer every possible alternative to the customer but when their needs are specific as this one was we have to do what the customer asks or needs. Many thanks for watching

This conversion was built quite some time ago now, if my memory is right the bed was 36 inches wide but I cant remember how long it was sorry. Many thanks for watching

Every Transit custom I have converted has been a factory high roof model ordered direct from the Ford. Not sure if anyone does a fibreglass high top yet that is available to the public. Many thanks for watching

This one was the LWB model, we did the same conversion for the same woman on a SWB but it didn't have that front side facing seat. Many thanks for watching

Not to my taste but seems well made.

Such a small space, every nook is SO important. You build that single seat with a straight back. Could sit there 40min max before my back gives out to cramps. Do the driver & passenger seats swivel to create an open UK style living room? If the seats turned around you wouldn't want the straight backed seat. You would use it for storage or as a table. Big miss on this one. Everything else is perfect but you really dropped the ball on the front half of this conversion.

Imagine having dogs crap up an incredible conversion like that.

You need to chose a better setting to film in. However desirable your conversions, the present "car park/backyard/shipping container" does you no favours. Hope this helps.
