Wondering why cams like this one and the zippers 472 are not recommended for the 107 due to the specs but when compared to an s&s 475 they still have earlier intake close, later exhaust opening and far less over lap and the 475 seems to be the go to cam everywhere and never hear anyone say it shouldnt be on a 107. My dealer wanted to go with the 475 on my 107, I went with something else and from all reports I'm glad I did.

  • @MoonshineHarley

Jarrod Wilson We only pair 475 cams or larger with high compression setups. The S&S 465 would be a much better choice if you are pairing it with a stock compression engine. The 475 will come on too late with stock compression and the 465 will be really snappy with stock compression.

@@MoonshineHarley I went with an Andrew's 460 because I wanted good mileage with the stock street bob tank and good part throttle response in the corners, I get better economy now than the dealers stage 1(it was running rich). I'd say 9/10 people I've spoken to let the dealer put the 475 in their 107's. One guy explained it was like a 2 stroke, does nothing good until 3000rpm. Most want the 475 because of the lumpy idle then wonder why the fuel economy is in the toilet. This is why some dealers are better than others, keep up the good work!

I want the bike to pull hard all the time. Occasionally my wife will ride with me and I still want all the power lol. I cant decided between the fueling 472 chest or s&s 475 reaper. I will be running a custom tune, deleted cats, rinehart slip ons and a Trask high flow intake. I respect your guys opinion do you have a recommendation on one over the other?
