I can't imagine many poor people spending over a grand on a wrist watch.

new movement....hopefully better accuracy than the 6R35. I hope the clasp is better.

On the Seiko website it reads: 6R55 Precision +25 to -15 seconds per day. On the Seiko website of the SPB143 the movement 6R35 reads: Precision +25 to -15 seconds per day.

@@GadgetsforGentlemen Hmmm that’s disappointing. New movement but not better accuracy? Maybe it’s just to fit the new case and date window position. New dimensions don’t mean much, there was no issue with the original dimensions. Best change for me is the new date window position. Overall some minor refinements not worth selling my SPB143 and 213 for. But this is a great pick for those who don’t have a 62mas yet. These will still sell well for sure.

@timemeasured9137 hi, I think the biggest improvement is the 300M WR. I love the design. Also LOVE the 143. However this one will fit my tiny wrist even better! Already not a fan of the bracelet. Other than that a very interesting watch. Imagine this watch on sale in about a year from now. That would be great value for money.

the older version I tried. it was beautiful on the videos but when I tried it on my wrist, it was so small. without being biased, I really to liked SRPD line better. it is authentic by design which gives more character to a brand representing the affordable range of the game... this new edditon looks good on video as well, but being even smaller than already small predecessor, and replicating the submariner almost like a homage...probably I would make the same decision picking SRPD at less than 1/4 price

I see your point! My preference goes to this smaller version. Since it does look quite a bit like the 62MAS I think it’s fairly original.

It looks like the dial was taken out of the willard spb317 and added “3 days” which is unnecessary. We need less texts not more. 4:30 date is a deal breaker for me. I also much prefer the sunburst grey dial and brushed bezel of the 143. It would be cool to have a black dial as a secondary option tho. I don’t care for the bracelet and clasp either but that’s pretty much with every Seiko. I like everything else tho. I’m really curious if these are replacements? If so, I’m even more grateful I swooped my spb143 along with the sje093 in time.

Interesting points. Definitely agree with you regarding the “unnecessary” text on the dial, but it is what it is. What do you mean with swooping your 143?

@@GadgetsforGentlemen Purchasing the 143 before it was discontinued. I do want to note that I think this watch is overall an improvement and if I didn’t have a choice, I’d still get it.

The accuracy stated by Seiko is the same as the 6r35.

For accuracy it’s better to look for COSC or METAS.
